We had the honor of hosting a salon with interdisciplinary artist (who you should follow!) this past month, with amazing food by and music by Eric Miller. Marlon activated The Heights in the way it was always intended: as a social sculpture in the service of deeper understanding. Check out the work he’s doing in Tulsa right now! Among all of the art installations I am humbled to be able to do as an interdisciplinary artist who engages large format photography as cultural mirrors, ethnographic films shaped as visual poems, and sculptures made for community engagement, the salon dinners are the closest to my pain and possibility. This is the project I vulnerably “do” with others that is deepest connected to my “being”. They make me scared and excited!

🖤 This is a message we never wanted to have to write. We have made the agonizing decision to close The Heights to the public next week. This weekend will be our last regular cafe service! We plan to reorient The Heights as an event space, and to continue and grow our Wine Society. Stay tuned for details as we map out a path forward.

The truth of the matter is the staffing challenges in 2022 caused a trimming of services that is unsustainable. This, in concert with two years of pandemic limitations, has forced us to make this hard but prudent decision.

We want to thank all of our patrons, friends, neighbors, vendors and staff from the bottom of our hearts.You kept us going and we will forever be grateful.

Heights Hash is back, baby!! We’re busting out a classic for summer 2022. The Heights Hash with lemon-thyme veggies (peppers, onions, cauli and potatoes) with wild-foraged ramp pesto aioli and farm egg. Option to add slow roasted organic pork shoulder. Now on the daytime menu!
