What an absolute blast last night. Thanks so much to Stefan Truesdell, Mark Goodden, Nick Moran, Jordan Kowalski, Kowan Turner and Kowan & Company for playing their hearts out.

Groove Roulette Groove Roulette is an Improvisational Jam Series created by Glenn Widdicombe and Instrumental Motion from Milwaukee, WI where we try to bring together local musicians or members of different local bands and have them improvise some new music.

We are all going to have a great time for our Groove Roulette set Thursday, but what's more, is we get to also see an amazing group out of Chicago!! Big thanks to Soul'd Out Events for bringing Covington Groove to join our stellar lineup of music!!!

Covington Groove is an on-the-rise Blues Rock Fusion Jam Band with a solid Funk Rock Rhythm section that grabs new fans wherever they play.

Lead by powerhouse guitar player Ben Bollero and the next big name behind the keys Samuel Wyatt, Covington brings you a sound that you won’t soon forget! Can’t put your finger on it, but you gotta grab a handful. Covington Groove is a new sound that pushes the envelope while giving a sense of nostalgia. Drawing from the influences of bands such as Gary Clark Jr., Dr. John, Lettuce, Jimi Hendrix, Umphrey’s McGee, At The Drive In, Bernhoft, Deep Purple & The Beatles; Covington Groove is the new sound.

Final member of the Groove Roulette lineup Thursday: Give it up for Victor Reid!

This will be the third Groove Roulette Vic's gonna be playing for, and for a good reason. If you give this guy a pair of drumsticks, he will create percussive poetry. Drummer of The Stephen Hull Experience as well as frontman of his own group, Victor Reid and V.I.P, he's created quite a name for himself in Milwaukee and Wisconsin for the energy and skill he brings to any stage.

Let's meet a very special guest for this Thursday's randomly formed band: Mr. Samuel Wyatt on the keys!

A Chicago native and a graduate of Northern Illinois University, Samuel's been creating music for various projects for the last 15 years. Samuel's been on it since 2008, having played with his own band, Wyatt, as well as Train Company. Opened for Counting Crows as well as Blues Traveller. Nowadays, he composes and writes out of his own studio. However when not writing, he can still be seen across Chicagoland performing with different acts as a keyboardist and vocalist. Currently he performs with Thursday's feature jam-funk group, Covington Groove which has shared the stage with Big Head Todd and the Monsters and members of Snarky Puppy.

We're pumped to see what's he's gonna lay down for us at The Bur Oak and you should be too!! Make sure to get those tickets!!

Take a breath, cuz it's time to talk about Mr. Aaron Metz displaying the most classic of crunch faces.

If you haven't seen the way this guy moves his fingers on the bass, your are missing out. Aaron moved to Madison back in 2020, and has quickly joined a great array of amazing groups in the scene including Maestranza, Cold Fusion, RailHopper, CoMingle and sometimes even sits in with Kat and the Hurricane!
