Meet Karli, a 7-year-old Havanese with a heartwarming story of transformation.

Not too long ago, Karli’s mom noticed something troubling: her once lively little dog had lost interest in her premium dry kibble. Despite adding treats to her food, Karli still showed little enthusiasm for eating. Her mom also observed other troubling signs: Karli was shaking, scratching excessively, obsessively licking her feet, and shedding more than usual. She seemed withdrawn and uninterested in interacting with people, merely tolerating affection without enjoying it.

Concerned and distressed by Karli’s worsening symptoms, her mom took her to their regular vet. The vet recommended a Cytopoint injection, but after three weeks, there was no improvement. The vet suggested trying other medications, but Karli’s mom felt there must be a better solution.

That’s when she discovered Holistic Veterinary Options. Dr. Michelle proposed a Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (TMA), which provided valuable insights into what was causing Karli’s symptoms. Dr. Michelle recommended switching Karli to a fresh food diet, and Karli’s mom eagerly made the change.
