Memory Lanes Honor Roll presents:
Dixie Sutton Witt Ducker

Dixie was born in November of 1939 in the rural community of Curlew, Florida amongst the citrus groves. She grew up during the era of World War II with memories of a simpler life and the struggles her family faced during those times. She was especially close to her grandmother, Julia, who made sure she practiced piano daily and was brought up in the church. Currently, Dixie shares her talents playing the organ and singing in the choir at church. She moved with her family to Coker Creek in the 70s. Dixie’s stories of adventures and survival can be found in her three published books: Call of the Pink Curlew; Terror at Gold Creek; and Curlew Contessa.
