Please help us welcome our new head coach for the 24-25 season, Josh Seese! Read Coach Seese’s bio below. We are looking forward to a fantastic season. Registration opens soon.

Seese was named head coach of DII Chowan University in summer of 2019. Coming off a 2-13 2019 spring season, Chowan posted its first winning season in a COVID-19 suspended 2020 season with a 5-3 overall record. Over the next 4 seasons, the Hawks lacrosse program would graduate over 40 student-athletes and post an above 3.0 GPA mark for the first time in 2024. Chowan would qualify for the Conference Carolinas tournament from 2022-2024. Known for their up-tempo box style, Chowan would lead all NCAA lacrosse in shot percentage in 2022 and 2023. Seese coached 6 All-Conference student-athletes, including 3 first team selections and 3 USA Lacrosse Magazine All-Americans. Senior attackman Erik Dozzi would lead DII in Points per Game in 2024 while Eric George, third in PPG in 2024, won Conference Carolinas Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2023. Seese was named Conference Carolinas Coach of the Year in 2022.

Josh’s first collegiate head coaching role was at Potomac State College (NJCAA) from 2015-2019. During that time, he coached both men’s and women’s lacrosse while aiding the athletic department in game management and social media. In spring 2019, the Catamounts earned their first national ranking and finished the season ranked tenth in NJCAA.

Seese began his collegiate coaching venture at Robert Morris University, serving as the Men’s Lacrosse Director of Operations on Andrew McMinn’s staff for the 2014 and 2015 seasons. He also coached at the club level for Low and Away Pittsburgh.

Before heading to the college game, Seese coached at University High School in Morgantown, W.Va. from 2011-2013. The Hawks compiled a record of 30-5 during his tenure and won West Virginia Scholastic Lacrosse Association (WVSLA) state championships in 2011 and 2013. For the latter season, Seese was honored with the WVSLA State Coach of the Year award. Prior to his head coaching stint, Seese served as an assistant and defensive coordinator with the University lacrosse team in 2010-11. He also was an assistant coach with soccer from 2008-10 and football in 2012.

A native of Bruceton Mills, W. Va., Seese graduated from West Virginia University in 2012 with his bachelor’s degree in Athletic Coaching Education while minoring in Sports & Exercise Psychology. Seese obtained his masters’ of Science degree in Organizational Leadership, graduating in May 2015 from Robert Morris.

Magnolia Lacrosse has been awarded the opportunity to host the 2024 THSLL State Championship! We would love you to come out and volunteer!

We have opportunities at Magnolia High School and Magnolia West High School!!

If your high school student needs volunteer hours this is the perfect opportunity! Bring your documentation and a board member will sign off on your hours.

We will need help both days with setup/cleanup, parking, ticketing, concessions, locker room attendant and so much more!!
