There’s a special kind of magic in welcoming your second child—a new rhythm, a new kind of love, and a heart that somehow finds room to grow even bigger. This sweet family of four just welcomed their newest little addition, a precious baby girl, and now their two girls fill their world with even more joy and wonder.

We captured these moments in the soft morning light of my new studio, where big sister’s gentle curiosity met baby sister’s peaceful presence. It was a morning full of warmth, love, and the quiet beauty that comes with seeing a family grow.

The transition from one to two children brings so many changes—new dynamics, new routines—but what stays constant is the overwhelming love that binds them together. These moments are fleeting, but they are so, so precious. Watching these sweet girls already creating their own bond was truly a gift.

There’s something so special about capturing love in its many forms. This sweet couple, who once stood hand-in-hand as they said "I do," is now awaiting the arrival of their first baby—soon to be parents, soon to see their world change in the most incredible way.

Our session took place at a quaint little beach cove in Galveston, where the waves gently kissed the shore as they embraced the quiet moments together. The love they share radiated in every glance, every touch, and every smile. You can feel how deeply connected they are, even as they prepare for the beautiful chaos that is parenthood.

This beautiful family of three is about to become four, and I had the absolute honor of capturing this special time for them.

We spent the afternoon under the sun, soaking in the warmth and joy of their love. There was so much laughter, so many moments of pure connection—moments that tell the story of their journey together as they await the arrival of their newest blessing.

Watching them play and enjoy each other was a reminder of just how precious these fleeting days are, when everything changes but love continues to grow in even more magical ways.

I feel so lucky to capture this chapter of their story—each giggle, each look of wonder, and every gentle touch that shows just how ready they are to welcome their new little one.

It’s amazing how quickly time flies—especially when it comes to little ones growing up! I had the pleasure of seeing this sweet family of three again, and it’s incredible to see how much their little boy has grown since our last session.

This time, we used my new studio space to capture some updated photos, and we went for a super casual lifestyle look that perfectly captured their everyday moments together. There’s something so special about these relaxed, natural sessions where we just let life unfold in front of the camera.

From playful giggles to those sweet, quiet moments, it was a joy to document this next chapter in their family’s story. These moments are the ones we’ll all look back on with so much love and nostalgia.

🎉 Splish Splash, It's a Birthday Bash! 🎉

I had the absolute best time celebrating a special little one’s birthday with a super fun milestone session! We went all out with sprinkler minis—and let me tell you, it was a blast! 💦

Watching this sweet toddler laugh, splash, and play in the water was pure joy. There’s something magical about capturing these carefree, giggly moments that remind us of the simple joys of childhood. Every splash was a celebration of the happiness that comes with being young and free!

🌟 Celebrating 60 Years of Love and Wisdom 🌟

This session holds a special place in my heart as I had the privilege to capture not just an anniversary but a beautiful milestone in the life of someone dear to me. My mother-in-law recently celebrated her 60th wedding anniversary this summer, and it was truly a joy to document this incredible journey of love and commitment.

Beyond celebrating this milestone, today's session was also about capturing the essence of a remarkable woman. Age is just a number, and there's something incredibly empowering about capturing moments of self-love and confidence at any stage of life. My mother-in-law embodies grace, resilience, and an unwavering spirit that shines through in every frame.

I first met this incredible mom when she worked with my son at his therapy center. She has a one-of-a-kind fiery soul, and her little toddler is bursting with energy and love.

Their little girl has the most intense big eyes and the fluffiest white hair—absolutely adorable! Seeing this family grow and thrive has been a heartwarming experience. Ficklin family of five! Coming in hot! These two big brothers couldn’t have been more proud as they climbed up on the bed to show off how good they are at holding their new baby sister—who is clearly the apple of their eyes! Capturing these moments in the warmth of their home was truly special.

While I don’t usually do home sessions, I have to say, our studio has so many advantages. With perfect lighting, a variety of backdrops, and all the comforts we need, it’s designed to make every session as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Plus, it’s a space where we can create beautiful, timeless memories without any distractions.

That said, there’s something incredibly heartwarming about photographing a family in their own home. The comfort and familiarity of their surroundings bring out the most genuine smiles and interactions. It was a joy to see the Ficklin family in their element, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to capture their love and excitement. Our absolute final session in the old studio was so bittersweet. The space was empty, the walls bare, and all that was left was the simplest backdrop for the sweetest little chunk. As I captured those last moments, I couldn't help but feel a wave of nostalgia for all the memories created in that studio.

Just had the best time photographing a family of four at a lazy creek this summer! Their little girl and boy were having an absolute blast playing in the sand, and it was pure magic.
