I have so many babies that are starting Kindergarten next week!! Mamas…let me so those babies then and now!! 🙂
Today, my oldest baby turns 21yrs old! When I tell you that the days are long but the years are short, I really do mean it!! I blinked and this happened! This is the one that made me a mama. This was my baby that I struggled to breastfeed and became my formula fed baby. My second was my breastfed baby. This is why I became an IBCLC. I understand the struggles! To my oldest baby…..I have loved watching you become the incredible human that you are. I also really love being your mom. Happy Birthday to you M!
The baby in the white sleeper was the baby I got to work with at my home visit today! It just so happened that my clients sister (who was also my client) was visiting today! It was so great to see both mamas and these darling babies! They were both so sweet and snuggly! Working with both of these sisters and their new daughters has been really special! Today we talked about repeating this when the babies turn 1!! How fun!!
Hello friends! As most of you know I am also a CPST. Car seat safety is something that is super important to me. Last week, I fixed 5 car seats in my office that had been previously checked by other car seat techs. I can assure you the seats that I checked for these families were not safe for these little tiny humans.
Please remember to reach out if you have questions when not only installing your car seat in your vehicle but also securing your child in their seat. I will always be more than happy to teach you how to properly secure your car seats. Your babies are the most precious cargo you will ever have in your vehicle and making sure they are properly restrained can save their life in the event of a car accident.
To all pediatric offices: if you are interested in setting up a car seat check day for your office, please contact me!
I have a repeat mama who is in the hospital right now being induced. She’s been hand pumping for the ni**le stimulation to help get things going today. She sent me this picture earlier!! I think it’s safe to safe her breasts are ready for this little one to arrive!! Can’t wait to meet this little squish when I see them for our visit. Everyone send easy labor vibes to this sweet mama!!
Happy Mother’s Day to you all!

Say it louder for those in the back!! Thank you Lucy Ruddle IBCLC for this amazing graphic!

What an amazing day today at the A Taste of Midwifery: A Birth and Baby Expo event! Thank you so much for creating this incredible space for all of us birth workers to come together. It felt like the best reunion. My heart is so full and happy! To everyone that came out today, thank you for stopping by! It was so nice to meet you all! I just want to give a great big shout out to my dear friend Sarah over at for helping me at my table today. I appreciate you so much for spending your Saturday with me! (And if any of you need some amazing cakes or macarons…she’s your girl!)
Starting to put together my items for the swag bags for the Taste of Midwifery Event! It’s a free event on May 4th at Lake Lilly Park in Maitland! There will be a lot of amazing birth workers there. I’ll be there doing car seat checks from 9am-11:30am!
Breast milk is MAGICAL!! Mama’s bodies are even more MAGICAL!! The milk you see on the left was pumped recently. The milk you see on the right was pumped back in February. The sweet little one is fighting a cold right now and his mama is making the exact milk he needs to fight off that cold. The color variation is awesome to see. Feel better little one!!
Today, this lovely mama came to say hi with her sweet new baby. I met her just 5yrs ago when her first baby was a few months old she wanted a picture of me with all of her babies. Repeat families will always be so special. It’s almost as if I’m watching my own babies grow up. I often sit and wonder how the families I work with are doing. When I get the news that a new baby is coming it makes me smile! Mama and I had our full lactation visit yesterday. Today was for me to snuggle the baby and give hugs to the boys who have grown up so fast!!
Happy IBCLC Day!! Today is the day I get to celebrate those letters behind my name. We celebrate the work we do everyday with families. This work is not always easy but the rewards are worth it! So today (or any day if I’m being honest) send me pics of your babies if I’ve worked with you in the past! I love hearing how your babies are doing! Thank you for letting me a part of your journey.
Wise words from our friends at Breast For Baby! I know it our house its those pitbull puppies that get us! We love them! 😉

Today one of the families I have been working with brought me the sweetest thank you note ever! These are notes that I’ll cherish always! Thank you to the V family! Your little one is an absolute doll and I’ve so enjoyed snuggling her!
I’m looking for donor milk for a family in need of it for their baby. If you have extra milk, please message me and I can connect you to this family!
Thanks so much!
Look at this amazing liquid gold that a mama pumped today! Her sweet little one had a very good feeding but her breasts were still feeling very engorged even after the feeding was done. She did a few minutes of pumping after and this was the result! Actual amount in the storage bag was 70ml!
Getting my yearly mammogram done at AdventHealth Imaging Lake Mary Health Park and they have a coffee shop here! This is fantastic and makes waiting for my appointment much better! This is also your reminder to not only do your self breast exams but to get your mammogram scheduled if needed!
Big thank you to for this gift basket! I appreciate your referrals and your support for my small business over the years!!
Hey everyone! We are very quickly approaching Thanksgiving next week (one of my most favorite holidays!) So this is just a quick reminder that hours next week will be limited! I will be closed on Thursday AND Friday to spend time with my family! So please if you are in need of a visit, get it scheduled as soon as possible! Home visits will be very limited next week in order to get more mamas seen before the holiday! ❤
Had a few minutes this morning to stop by and visit one of my favorite Chiropractors! Our community is so lucky to have .kellyfredricks and her team at to care for families. Dr. Fredricks’s and I have been referring each other since I started practicing 7yrs ago! It was nice to *finally* stop in and say hi, grab a few hugs from her and her awesome office manager. 💜💜💜
Hey everyone! I’m working on helping a mama in a Domestic Violence shelter get some necessary items for her newborn baby. We have everything we need except for a baby carrier for mama to baby wear. She’s a small mama (size XS/S)
Can anyone help this mama out?
I’ll be out of the office tomorrow due to Hurricane Idalia. I hope everyone stays safe. 💜
Excellent information from our friend and fellow IBCLC at Bonding with Baby Lactation, LLC!
Stay safe during this storm my friends!

Thank you to this amazing client for not only the gift card but for the sweet hand written note to go along with it. I actually have every single note that a client has ever given me. I look back on them every once in a while and smile. I also have all of the Christmas cards, birth announcements and things you guys send! It makes my heart happy to know that you think of me when mailing those things out! I’m sentimental like that! 💜
I had to the honor of watching this new mama sit and nurse her baby as her husband sat and supported her. I’m so glad we captured this beautiful moment. What you didn’t see was proud new grandma watching from afar. This is such a sweet family and they are doing amazing. Welcome to the world sweet baby!
Let’s be real here for a minute. Being a parent is the hardest thing you will ever do! But it’s the most rewarding! Sometimes we just need to hear that we are doing a good job. So mamas…here’s your reminder! You are doing great! Sending hugs to you all and hopes that you have a beautiful Tuesday!
When baby is latching well in the first few days of life, pumping is often necessary until a Lactation Visit can be made. When I was going through pics on my camera roll last night I found this picture that I took of a lovely mama’s milk. Look at the difference in color in these 3 bags. Each bag was only pumped within a day of each within of each other! So incredible!! Pure liquid gold!!
As some of my current clients know, I’m currently out of the office at the moment recovering from surgery. Yesterday I cubital tunnel release surgery. This is in my dominant hand so as you can imagine the last 24hrs have been challenging. You truly don’t realize how little you can do one handed let alone with your non dominant hand.
I anticipate only being out of the office until after my post op visit next Friday. But when I come back, I’ll only be offering office visits for awhile to allow full healing of my arm!
Thank you all for being patient this week and next while I recover! I know I stress to you all at our visits the importance of taking care of yourselves so I’m going to do just that!
Feel free to spam me with pics of your kiddos though in the comments! I love seeing how much they’ve grown!!
It’s always so bittersweet when I get to graduate a family from my care. I got to meet this family at their breastfeeding 101 class just a few days before this baby made his debut! This beautiful mama worked so hard on a triple feeding plan due to some excessive weight loss. But now they are feeding great and baby looks amazing! So proud of you mama!!
I got to snuggle this cutie today at our follow up visit. I had the pleasure of working with her mama and big brother too! I just love repeat families soooo much!! This sweet girl has grown a lot since our initial visit. We tweaked a few things and will follow up again next week to see if our plan we put in place worked. She has an amazing and dedicated mama and I’m so thrilled to work with this family!
