Attacca School of Music

We had a terrific weekend filled with our string department recitals! Everyone showed a great level of improvement and enjoyment towards their instruments and music studies. Thank you so much to our wonderful families and dedicated faculty who guide and inspire these young artists!

Attacca student James Zhou had his first solo with Orchestra debut this past weekend. Thank you so much to for organizing and providing this opportunity to our students! We could not be more proud of him and the other Attacca students who will be participating in the upcoming weeks!

Our string recitals are one month away and we are very excited to hear what our violin, viola, cello and guitar students have been working on this semester! We are delighted to be hosting them once again at the beautiful Follen Church in Lexington.

Some highlights from our Spring Piano recitals! It was a beautiful day of students sharing the culmination of their hard work throughout the semester. From Mozart to Bach to Chopin and countless pieces in between, it was a joy to hear their music!

We are looking forward to the Spring Session of our Chamber Music Program starting back up on March 9th!

If you are looking to boost your confidence, improve your musicianship and learn teamwork skills, then apply by February 28th to be a part of the Chamber Music Program at Attacca this Spring!

Attacca is excited to be offering piano evaluations this year!

This will be a performance/exam opportunity for dedicated students looking to get additional feedback on their playing from a well respected Boston area teaching artist. Open to students of Attacca by their teacher’s recommendation.

REGISTRATION REQUIRED: Register for evaluation with confirmed recommendation from teacher. Pieces can be determined later and not necessary for registering.

PROGRAM:
-Prepare 2 Scales and 2 Pieces
-Student’s teacher decides on repertoire pieces, memorization, and scale parameters (key, octaves, hand separate/together)
-Maximum program length with scales is 10 minutes.

Attacca School of Music will be closed for the Holiday Break starting Saturday December 23rd. Lessons will resume on Tuesday January 2nd 🎹

We are delighted to have Olga Patramanska-Bell giving a master class for our Violin Students on November 12th as a part of Attacca Visiting Guest Artists series!

Olga Patramanska-Bell was born and raised in Ukraine, where she received her musical education. After finishing her Bachelor's degree at the R.M. Glier Kyiv State Higher Music College and studying a few years at the National Musical Academy of Ukraine, she came to Boston to continue her education at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She received her Masters of Music degree under the guidance of Mr. Mark Lakirovich.

Olga is an active performer and participant in numerous concerts, projects and festivals. She is a winner of the Concerto competition and Honors competition at the Longy School of Music, and has performed as a soloist with the Longy Chamber Orchestra, National Pops Symphony Orchestra and Philharmonia Orchestra in Ukraine. Olga is a winner of several competitions in Ukraine and has traveled through Europe performing solo recitals and playing in a violin ensemble.

Olga has been actively teaching in the Greater Boston Area and currently is a member of Zefira Piano Trio and Juventas New Music Ensemble. Past engagements include playing with the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphony New Hampshire, Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, Walden Chamber Music Players, ECCE ensemble, Sound Icon, Grand Harmonie,Harvard Baroque Chamber Orchestra,EquilibriumEnsemble,Boston New Music Initiative, Boston Opera Collaborative,Harvard's Lowell House Opera, and Commonwealth Lyric Theater. Olga is currently holding a position of String Department Chair at the Concord Community Music School(NH), and on the faculty of Powers Music School (Belmont, MA) and Wi******er Community Music School(Wi******er, MA).
