It's Friday, Let's celebrate 25 years of service for Cathie Keane, Nicole Rubin, Lois Otis and Kathy Kinnon! We celebrate each of your many successes and thank you for all your hard work and dedication to Mystic Valley Regional Charter School!
A special congratulations to Kathy Kinnon on her upcoming retirement. Your 25 years of service and dedication is remarkable. Thank you and we wish you the very best as you start your next chapter as a retiree.
The swim record board has been updated! Recently, five members of our girls’ swim team helped in changing the record board inside Bayrd Natatorium, to reflect their newly established school records! Congratulations to Lana Albuquerque, Lucia Antonucci, Isabella Cirame, Sydney Cao, and Britney Nayiga!
⏱️New school records: 100 breast (Antonucci), 200 free relay (Cirame, Albuquerque, Nayiga, and Cao), 400 free relay (Cao, Antonucci, Nayiga, and Cirame).
Mystic Valley Athletics celebrated another amazing year at the annual Varsity Athletics Banquet on Monday, June 3. We're so proud of all our student-athletes and coaches for their hard work and dedication.

Mystic Valley Regional Charter School sports playoff update:
Boys Tennis: Seeded #11, first-round bye, defeated #22 Westport 5-0 in the round of 32, then defeated #6 Lenox Memorial 5-0 in the round of 16, travel to #3 Manchester Essex for the round of 8 today.
Baseball: #20 seed, first-round bye, defeated by #13 Bromfield in the opening round of 32, 8-3.
Softball: #25 seed, defeated #40 Community Charter of Cambridge 16-3 in the preliminary round, lost to #8 Tahanto Regional, 8-1 in the round of 32.
Girls track: Senior Reilly Hickey placed fifth in the girls long jump event, ninth in the girls 100 hurdles event, and eleventh in the girls triple jump event. Junior Lana Albuquerque placed 28th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.98.
Boys track: Sophomore Nathan Thomas placed 23rd in the long jump with a 17’ 6.5”. Junior Damian Regis ran a 1:05.07 in the 400m hurdles, which placed him in 33rd. Junior Angelo Coehlo placed 6th in the 2 mile with a time of 10:29.42. Mystic Valley Senior Christian Fraser captured the 2024 MIAA D6 State High Jump Championship with a winning jump of 6 feet 6 inches. Fraser qualified and placed seventh in the state in the high jump at the Meet of Champions and qualified for New England’s.

Baseball Senior Night! 🦅⚾️
On to the Elite 8!! Boys Tennis beat Lenox Memorial today 5-0 to move on to the next round! They will play #3 Manchester Essex on Saturday at 12pm at Manchester Essex Regional High School. Great work boys!
Class of 2024 Senior Luncheon
On Friday, May 24th, the Mystic Valley Regional Charter School held a Senior Luncheon for the Class of 2024. The gym at 576 Eastern Avenue was filled with seniors and their families as well as members of Mystic Valley’s faculty and staff. opening remarks by Mystic Valley Director/Superintendent, Mr. Alex Dan, the seniors took over the speaking roles.
First, Senior Class President, Nora Fatimi delivered a thank you on behalf of the class to all of the parents in attendance. The presentation of the Class Gift was done by Senior Class Secretary, Jonathan Yip. National Honor Society President, Jason Yan then led the class in presenting flowers to their parents as a symbol of thanks for all the love and support they have received while students at Mystic Valley.
The Faculty Leadership Award was presented to Math teacher, Mr. Matthew Skowronek, by National Honor Society, Vice-President, Makda Johannes and the Faculty Service Award was presented to Math teacher, Mr. Duncan Voyles, by Arianna Perdomo, Senior Class Vice President. Mrs. Stephanie Peach received the Lower School Teacher Award as selected by members of the Class of 2024 for what she meant to them in their development at MVRCS.
Mystic Valley Assistant Director 9-12, Zac Shahan, next presented scholarships from several local foundations and charitable organizations. Mr. Shahan then delivered the Student Leadership Award to Nora Fatimi and the Thomas E. Brennan Service Award to Anna Tracey. Nora and Anna are outstanding members of the Class of 2024, who received the awards by vote from the entire high school faculty.
The final piece of the program was a slideshow that featured photos of the seniors throughout their years at Mystic Valley.
Congratulations to our Boys’ Lacrosse Seniors on Senior Night!! Best of luck in all your future endeavors.
