I can’t believe it’s been 25 years! Holding you in my arms for the first time in the hospital, my world was about to shift 360 for the best! As a new mom I had fear and joy, would I be a good mom ? So many emotions during this time. Of course I’m a great mom! I look back through the lenses and know we created a beautiful human. Yes ‘we’ because without him you would not be here. I am grateful for the gift of YOU! Given me such happiness and joy. Continue to bring love and joy whenever you travel on this earth 🌍 every single day my little peanut 🥜 Love you always ❤️

TODAY marks a weekend filled with emotion for me. It’s been 5 years since I crossed the threshold of the beautiful doors of . Where do I begin? 5 years of learning, growing, healing, teaching with all of the best teachers & students a gal could ask for. Five years ago today I ended chemo therapy. The last 5 years have had their ups and downs, but through it all I still smile. This mindset thing is for real, but takes practice. Through the challenges it’s been my strength, through the weakest days it’s been my strength. Despite the positive mindset comes the pain, discomfort and loss. These feelings have been overwhelming at times throughout my journey. However, I learned to address the pain, talk about it even if you don’t want to listen. Most don’t want to listen so thanks for those who do! Pain is real, addressing it is super important, releasing it is important & letting your emotions run the course, then falls in the positive mindset. The smile, the happiness, the gratitude, the love. It’s a choice this mindset thing that can really pull you through any of life’s Challenges, no matter how big or small. Keep the mindset going, gather round those who support & love you. What ever it takes!

All the rest is just a walk in the park after you’ve been through this battle of the beast, and WON! “You never know how strong you are until strong is the only choice you have.”

In the thick of summer hustle we must keep this in our minds. Witnesses opportunity to grow, share, expand. Your only one person, there’s plenty of people you can ask for help. Ask and share, don’t try to be super human. Slow down, take time to resonate in stillness. Feel your breath within the body. Feel where you’re holding tension, or resistance & begin to let go. “Support the bones, when the bones are supported the muscles will relax “

Meditation Monday! Every Monday thru Labor Day find a new weekly meditation to choose from. Use it weekly/daily however you choose. Just try it...see how life changes...progression...observe.

Keeping the back straight and centered, rather than slouching or leaning to the side, allows the diaphragm to move freely. This will allow the breath to deepen. Your abdomen will rise and fall much the same way an infant’s belly rises and falls. It is important to loosen up anything that is tight around the waist and to wear clothing that is non-binding. For instance, material should not gather behind the knees when you cross the legs, inhibiting circulation. Allow the diaphragm to move freely so that the breathing can be deep, easy, and natural. Don’t control or manipulate the breath. You don’t have to make the breath happen in any particular way. It will happen by itself if you take a posture that you can be reasonably comfortable in and position your body properly. Set a timer here if you wish. Start small 3 minutes, 5 minutes, work your way up to 15, or maybe even 30!

Repeat this mantra for the duration of your meditation practice. 🙏🏼 Do give time to release the mantra to resonate & observe what comes up. Write it down when your finished meditating.

During meditation, breathe through your nose and keep your mouth closed. (If you have a cold, or some kind of a nasal blockage, its okay to breathe through your mouth.) The tongue is pressed lightly against the upper palate—swallow once, to create a seal and reduce the need to salivate and swallow.

The eyes are kept lowered, with your gaze resting on the ground about two or three feet in front of you. The chin is slightly tucked in. Although meditation looks very disciplined, the muscles should be soft. There should be no tension in the body.

You are in control of your life. You see, the ego is never in control. The ego is controlled by wishes for comfort and convenience on the part of the body, by demands of the mind, and by outbursts of emotions. But the higher nature controls the body, mind and the emotions. For instance I can say to my body, “lie down on the cement floor and go to sleep, and it obeys”. I can say to my emotions, “be still, becalm even in the face of chaos” and it listens. It’s a different way of living your life. Your following a different path, a higher nature. There begins the beautiful feeling of endless energy, which never runs out. Your simply plugged into the universal source of your own energy.
The philosopher Thoreau said it best, “ If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps he bears a different drummer”. Follow a different drummer, follow the higher nature instead of the lower.

Plug the feet into the earth, press the bum into the seat of the chair, gently press the spine into the back of the chair.
Lift up through the crown of the head, take a nice breath, inhale- exhale...bring the shoulders up to the ears, allow them to float down the back. Here you’ll feel the natural adjustment in the spine. Place the hands palms up on the legs. Allow yourself to surrender here. Take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale out of the mouth and again, repeat, one last time.
