Last week, one of our tasks was to Gram stain a WHOLE LOT of bacteria! We stained 98 slides of bacteria that came from the ichips that were in space (the first picture is only 49!). The other photos are some cool examples of some of the stains taken through the microscope at 10,000x magnification!

Our payload officially returned to Earth on Wednesday morning! We are currently waiting to receive it on our campus, at which time processing will start! 🚀🧫

Launch scrubbed for today. The team has to head back home, but we will be watching the next attempt on the live stream on Saturday!
IT’S LAUNCH DAY!! Here’s some photos from our morning - we got some awesome photos from our Decomposers and headed over to the SSPF one more time to do an interview for WMUR, and of course had to bring our stuffed animal friends!

After finally packing, screwing, stickering, and handing off our payload, we got interviewed, stopped by the Kennedy Space Visitor’s Center, and went on a van tour of several cool locations! Yesterday, we constructed our payload over several hours in the lab, and today we can say it is complete! Everyone worked so hard and are so thrilled to have reached this moment! More footage will be coming very soon!

Today was another lab day! Lots of autoclaving, minesweeper, and time with our new furry friends! Tomorrow is payload time 😎⭐️

We visited the Brevard Zoo today! It was absolutely beautiful. There were so many incredible animals that we don’t have back home in New Hampshire! 🦁🦘🍃
