Hello Grades K- 4 parents and guardians,

Tomorrow is our first official day back. Students can arrive between 8:05am and 8:25am on the back parking lot.

As a reminder we CANNOT allow parents to park in the staff lot. That open, one-way area in the staff lot is only for kids who are being dropped off without an adult accompanying them. If you choose to wait with your child, YOU MUST PARK elsewhere (on the street, by the church, etc.)

If you do not abide by this I can guarantee we will have issues with traffic and safety concerns. Please help us in making day one arrival run smoothly.

Dear Bakersville Families and Friends,

The new school year is just around the corner and we are gearing up for an amazing school year! By now you should be able to log on to Aspen (our student information system) and see your child's teacher. Our main office opens for regular business on Tuesday 8/20/24. Mrs. Jill Archard is our Administrative Assistant.

In the coming weeks I will send more detailed information about arrival and dismissal procedures as well as our updated student/parent handbook!

Here are a few basics for planning purposes:

Daily Schedule for 2024-25

K-4 students 8:15 a.m. - 2:50 p.m.

8:05 a.m. – School arrival/breakfast (through the gym doors at the back of the building)

8:25 a.m. – Instruction begins

2:50 p.m. – Dismissal (students either walk, take a bus or are picked up at the back doors)

Bakersville is located on a very busy intersection. We appreciate your help and cooperation at dismissal. Identification will be needed for anyone dismissing their students as staff supervising dismissals may vary. Please do not take students out of line as they wait on Elm St. It is very difficult to keep track of students/parents when this happens.

All K-4 students will start school on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 .

Pre-K students

Morning Session 9:05 a.m. - School arrival

9:10 a.m. - Instruction begins

11:45 a.m. - Dismissal

Afternoon Session 12:35 p.m. - School arrival

12:40 p.m. - Instruction begins

3:15 p.m. - Dismissal

The first day for preschoolers is Monday, September 9, 2024.

Lastly, please remember to join us on Thursday, August 29 from 4-5pm in our playground area (or gym for inclement weather) for our back to school Meet and Greet!! All incoming Bakersville PreK-4 students are parents are welcome to come meet the teacher(s) and enjoy snacks, give aways and time with friends, new and old!
