Not a product post but, Happy National Cat day to my two assistants. Whether I’m painting, taking pictures, or working in stained glass, they are always happy to help.

This piece needs a final cleaning but, I’m thrilled. My own design, changes in patina, and lots of practice.
PS… with the background glass, if I made one mistake, I would have to recut from a new sheet of glass. To keep the background, blue swirl, one cannot miscut.

Almost there! Finished soldering, over one hour per side. Added zinc frame. Takes about 45 min to accurately cut then solder the piece to the frame.
Next up is black patina.
I am so in love with this piece. Sometimes it’s hard to let go of these pieces. Every one is such a work of my heart.

While the process of stained glass is the same, each project differs with the artists vision.
Each piece of art has a story behind it, making each piece invaluable. So excited to see how their hard work is paying off.

85 glass pieces are all individually wrapped in copper foil. To clean, foil, and burnish each piece took 3 hours 20 minutes. 41 feet of foil was used.
Next step is to solder the pieces together.

Sometimes you need to use lead opposed to copper foil.

New project on my bench. While on the table, colors don’t show well. However, I took a picture of the darker green -on the right to give a slightly better representation. Love Celtic knots and with green being one of my favorite colors, bonus. Finished size will be one square foot.

My website is undergoing some changes. With maintenance on going, there may be some disruptions. These changes should be completed by the end of the month. Thank you for your patience. :)

Gearing up for the holiday season. A couple of growlers are complete. I love this green glass. Pictures show the front and back. I have to say, I love both sides. Hoptastic! $125.

Almost done. A couple of touch ups with solder, clean, then patina this beauty.

Two fun options.
Love this Victorian flower.
One finished with nuggets and pewter patina, the other, black patina.

I love bevels and how they refract light. Adding a chain around this to create a decorative element. However, this will also act as added stability as bevels is a heavier glass.

Perfect way to display a life memory.

Stained glass growler with hops. My husband is very fond of this piece. The glass used for the hops has a beautiful texture. Darker green is the front side where the color changes to almost a a lighter green-blue on back.

While I have 3 available, each one is different. The same glass was used but, due to variations in glass, the hops will vary. Notice difference in photos 1 and 3. Same glass. Different variation.

I decided to take an advanced class in lead work with a Master Lead Lighter. Learning is an adventure and I enjoyed this ride. Drove to North Carolina which is why I have been absent here.

Some days I’m working so much and do not remember to take a picture or post. 🤷🏻‍♀️ my goal is to be better.
Fall products are coming.
Yes, it is still Summer, my favorite season but against my personal feelings, 🥴🙄 fall products will be making more appearances next week.

A 2 foot by 2 foot panel is coming together. The bottom tulip is a royal purple. It does look black on the table.

Pretty cool when a stained glass member has their work in an art show. This member is not on Facebook however, I did have permission to share. 😊

One class, I think we all created a variety of these flower stakes on copper piping. Fun creating dimensional pieces!
