sewing needle lesson:

a Bernina automatic threader will NOT thread a size 8 needle. Customer came into the store recently saying that her 570 auto threader would not thread her needle. I tried her needle on our floor model 570 and she was right. The auto threader wouldn't thread the needle. i was perplexed and she thought something was wrong with her needle threader. However, we both learned from our more experienced previous owner and my father-in-law that the auto thread on the machine cannot thread a size 8 needle. the hole is way too small.
she and I both considered this a pretty handy tidbit of information.

Christmas annoucement:

For all quilters beinging in quilts needed before Christmas, the cut-off date is Dec 9. The ladies need time to be able to get all Christmas projects completed by Christmas.

If you have a quilt you need quilted in time for Christmas, please don not bring in later than Dec 9. If you bring one that's needed for Christmas after Dec 9, it will not be guaranteed to get done.

Pattern available!

Approx. 67x71, this 'You Are My Sunshine' panel quilt top was completed in a day and a half. Complete with matching 15" pillows, this would be perfect for a cool evening on the couch watching your favorite show or snuggled in with a good read.

Panels available in store, however, the pattern is not. It was kind of made up as I went along.
