❤️It has been about a week since the 4th of July Mandan Independence Day Parade and we are already counting down the days until next year! It was such an incredible day for the parade. With an estimated about 20,000-30,000 people, the parade was definitely a success!

The 2024 Mandan Indepedence Day Parade has just officially made it to Main Street!!

🙌The Parade is still on for today!🙌

Come on down to Main Street Mandan for the Parade today! We are so excited to see all your faces to celebrate America!!❤🤍💙

☀Tomorrow is the day!☀

Floats, Emergency Vehicles, Bands, Horses, and more! Expect this at the Mandan Independence Day Parade that starts at 10am leaving the Dacotah Centennial Park. It will arrive at Art in the Park around 10:30am!✨

INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE TRAFFIC & PARKING INFORMATION. The classic car parade will start at 10 a.m. followed by the grand parade at 10:10 a.m. on Thursday, July 4. The classic car parade will leave Midway Lanes on Memorial Highway and travel westbound to Main. The grand parade will start at Dacotah Centennial Park on Memorial Highway and proceed to Main Street. After the parade begins, traveling to the north and/or south in Mandan will be extremely difficult with long delays. Here are the planned traffic controls:

➡Main Street from the west side of the intersection with Memorial Hwy to 10th Ave NW will be closed starting at 7:30 a.m. on July 4 to accommodate planned events starting at 8 a.m. and closed until the parade has concluded.

➡Traffic from Memorial Highway will be able to go northbound onto Mandan Ave until 9:30 a.m. At that time, Memorial Highway will be closed to westbound traffic from the intersection with Third Street SE and Bisman Ave to East Main. If you are traveling west of Third Street SE on Memorial Hwy prior to the closing, please slow down and watch for pedestrians. Many people will be in the area setting up to watch the parade.

➡24th Ave SE will be closed to local traffic from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 4 as this is the start of the parade route.

➡Longspur Trail & 32nd Ave SE will be closed to the general public. Any local traffic will be limited and controlled. These roads are being used for parade staging.

TRAFFIC DETOURS. Main Street exit 155 from I-94 will be closed to traffic into Mandan beginning at 7 a.m. until the end of the parade. To travel into Mandan, please use I-94 exit 153 at Mandan Avenue or exit 152 at Sunset Drive. Traffic can also pass through Mandan by Memorial Hwy until 9:30 a.m. If you need to go south of Mandan, please arrange plans to do so prior to 9:30 a.m. to avoid delays or inconvenience.

Parking anywhere on Main Street is prohibited from 1 a.m. on July 4 until after the parade is over the afternoon of July 4. Any vehicles parked on Main Street during this time will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense. Parking lots in the downtown area will also be subject to restrictions. Please watch for changes in signage regarding no parking in areas for all July 4 events.

💙There are 2 hour time slots starting from 9am-3pm on the 2nd. On the 3rd from 9am-7pm and on the 4th from 9am-5pm!
