Tea Tip: Re-steeping Tea Leaves
First Infusion: Start with the recommended time and temperature for your tea leaves. This first steep is all about capturing that initial burst of flavors and aromas. 🌿🔍
Second Infusion: For the next steep, try using slightly hotter water and extend the steeping time by 30 seconds to 1 minute. This helps unlock the remaining depth of flavors, offering a richer taste experience. 💧⏳

Ingredients: Japanese Green Tea

Kukicha is a visually stunning, finely blended style of desirable upper stems & sencha grade nibancha, i.e. leaves from the second harvest. Light & delicate, toasty with sweet endnotes, this tea is sure to be an instant favorite.

🔥 Heat water below boiling (approx. 175-185°), steep 2 teaspoons for up to 3 minutes, and refresh as desired!

Tea Tip: Adding Sweetness
Honey: Start with 1 tsp per 8 oz of tea. Stir until dissolved for a natural, flavorful sweetness. 🍯
Agave Syrup: Begin with 1 tsp per 8 oz of tea. It dissolves easily in both hot and cold tea. 🌿
Stevia: Start with 1/4 tsp powdered or 3-5 drops liquid stevia per 8 oz of tea. A little goes a long way! 🍃
Maple Syrup: Use 1 tsp per 8 oz of tea. Adds a rich, caramel-like flavor. 🍁
Coconut Sugar: Start with 1 tsp per 8 oz of tea. Stir well to dissolve. 🥥
Tips:
Ensure sweeteners are fully dissolved.
Start with small amounts and taste-test.
Adjust sweetness based on the tea type.
Combine sweeteners for unique flavors.
For iced tea, add sweeteners while tea is warm or use liquid sweeteners. ❄️

🍵🍵🍵Featured Tea: PuErh Sticky Rice Tuo Cha
Origin: China
Ingredients: PuErh

Introducing Tuo Cha with a Twist. Prior to being compressed into mini nuggets, PuErh leaves were blended with small amounts of Nuo Mi Xiang, an herb which is indigenous to Yunnan. The aroma of this herb’s crushed leaves resembles sticky rice. When these mini tuo cha are steeped, a deliciously unique sweet & savory taste of rice & tamari will be experienced.

♨️Steeping Methods:
One tuo-cha is good for a small pot or several cups over. Simply unwrap the tissue covering, place the tuo-cha in the chosen vessel and pour rolling boil water (212°). Or Heat water until just below boiling (190° - 205°). Refresh with water as often as desired

✨ Did You Know? ✨🍵

Despite unfounded legends about Thomas Sullivan, a 20th century merchant, accidentally inventing tea bags two women, Roberta C. Lawson and Mary McLaren of Milwaukee, Wisconsin actually submitted a plan and were granted U.S. Patent No. 723,287 for a “Tea Leaf Holder”, which was essentially a cotton pouch with a flap at one end secured in place by a thin wire.

The purpose of the invention was “to provide means whereby a small quantity of tea, so much only as is required for a single cup of tea, can be placed in a cup and have water poured thereon to produce only a cup of tea fresh for immediate use”. Sure sounds like a tea bag to us! 🍵

In the 17th century, tea was so valuable in Europe that it was often kept under lock and key 🔒

This preciousness stemmed from its rarity and the high cost associated with importing it from China and other parts of Asia. Wealthy families would store their tea in specially crafted “tea caddies” 🏺 to prevent theft and ensure its preservation. 
These tea caddies were often elaborately designed, made from fine materials such as porcelain, silver, or exotic woods, reflecting the status and wealth of the owner 💎

The caddies sometimes featured multiple compartments for different types of tea and could be locked with a key to safeguard the valuable contents 🗝️
