1. Rabies is a zoonotic, viral disease that attacks the nervous system.
2. Once the outward signs start showing, Rabies is nearly always fatal.
3. Rabies is preventable through vaccination.

3. Keep school and holiday supplies out of paw's reach
4. Don't feed your pets human food

September is Animal Pain Awareness Month. Unfortunately, many animals suffer from pain in silence due to their inability to communicate discomfort like humans can. Early detection is key, so be mindful of changes in behavior, physical changes, movement issues, sensitivity to touch, or abnormal vocalizations. If you think your pet might be in pain, book their appointment as soon as possible so we can get them the care they need.

Have we SEEN your pet lately? If you notice any of these symptoms, it's time to book an appointment to check on your furry friend's eyes.

1. Watery eyes or blinking excessively
2. Swelling, redness, discharge, or abnormal appearances
3. Cloudiness or light sensitivity
4. Pawing at eyes
5. Difficulty navigating familiar spaces (bumping into objects)

Today marks the 20th anniversary of National Dog Day! Although if you ask us, we don't need a formal day to celebrate our dogs - we love to shower them with love and attention all year round!

In honor of National Take Your Cat to the Vet Day, here are some tips to make your next visit less stressful!

1. Introduce the carrier as a part of their everyday environment a couple of days before the appointment
2. Speak in a calm voice to keep your feline friend calm
3. Offer treats or verbal praise for good behavior
4. Ask your veterinarian if additional support or tips are needed!

Mosquitoes can cause parasitic infestations, viral infections, and bacterial infections in our pets, including Heartworm. Keeping your pet up to date on their veterinary care AND preventatives can help keep them safe. Even in areas where mosquitos aren't super common!
