Made my weekly stir fry with shrimp and added these Kelp noodles super low calories, rich in calcium, minerals and iron! Great no carb filler! I didn’t think I would like the texture, you need to rinse and cut them! Once they were mixed with the sauce it was really good!😊

Love that I made Matcha Chia Pudding for the next 2 days breakfast!! I look forward to it! 😋🍵

Serves 2
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1/4 cup chia seeds
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 teaspoon Matcha powder

Mix in nutribullet, then pour into 2 cups.
Refrigerate overnight. Add any topping you like, fruit, granola or nuts, nut butter or seeds! Enjoy 😊

Flaxseed and Flaxseed Oil Health Benefits

Flaxseed Overview:
• Flax (also known as Common Flax or Linseed) is a plant with green leaves, blue flowers, and glossy brown seeds.
• Originates from the region extending from the eastern Mediterranean to India.

Health Benefits:
1. Omega-3 Fatty Acids:
o Promotes heart health.
o Beneficial for heart disease, inflammatory bowel disease, arthritis, and other conditions.

2. Anti-Cancer Properties:
o Reduces tumor growth, particularly in post-menopausal breast cancer.

3. Diabetes Management:
o Helps lessen the severity of diabetes.

4. High Fiber Content:
o Good for digestion and gut health.

5. Estrogen Binding:
o Lignans in flaxseed can reduce estrogen activity, helpful for those with estrogen dominance.

Flaxseed Oil:
• Rich in omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids.
• Helps regulate fat metabolism, inflammation, hormones, and the cardiovascular, immune, and central nervous systems.
• Important for cognitive and behavioral functions, growth, and development.

Suggested Use:
• Whole Flax Seeds: Buy organic, grind in a coffee grinder.
• Daily Dose: Start with 1 tablespoon, increase to 2 tablespoons.
• Add to: Smoothies, salads, apple sauce, yogurt, cereals, oatmeal, pudding.
• As an Egg Substitute: 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed + 3 tablespoons water.

Kale is one of my favorite superfoods but it can be bitter so I get either baby kale or dinosaur kale that’s sweeter especially in a smoothie!

Lacinato kale, also known as Tuscan kale, dinosaur kale, and cavolo nero, is a variety of kale with blue-green leaves that are crinkled and sweet and mild in flavor. It is a dark green leafy vegetable that's part of the cabbage family.

This was a great filling delicious lunch! Creamy cottage cheese with almond butter, currants (from my garden), cashew butter, frozen cherries mixed in a food processor and strawberries 🍓 on top!

Chlorophyll Superfood Blast 💥

Try this great Summer Cleanse Drink! 🏖️

Ingredients:
- 16 oz of filtered water
- 2 tbsp of liquid unflavored chlorophyll
- 1 tsp of maple syrup (minerals)
- ½ tsp of powdered ginger or 1 inch fresh grated ginger
- ½ squeezed fresh organic lemon with some zest of the rind, throw in the lemon rind

Mix and enjoy this refreshing cleansing drink! 🥤😊

Chlorophyll offers several benefits, including:

1. Antioxidant Properties: Helps combat oxidative stress and may reduce inflammation.
2. Detoxification: Aids in eliminating toxins from the body.

The Food Mood Solution 😊
Natural ways to manage anxiety, depression, stress and so much more!

Your body’s production of neurotransmitters (serotonin-feel good chemical) depends on what you eat. 🍄

A few tips I teach from my 5 week SYB program:

Action Plan: 📝
1. Eat protein at each meal, (don’t skip 🥤 breakfast) protein stabilizes blood sugar, which helps stabilize your mood and reduces your appetite. Ex: fish, chicken, turkey, eggs, nuts, beans
2. Eat high fiber non-starchy veggies: 🥦 Dark greens, spinach, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, kale, spinach, cucumber, carrots, etc.
3. Eat high fiber fruit: 🍎 all berries are low glycemic preventing the spike of glucose (blood sugar)
4. Drink herbal tea 🍵 and green tea: green tea is high in L theanine (calming amino acid) try to avoid caffeine which is acidic and contributes to anxiety.
5. Get enough sleep- 😴 create a routine
6. Manage your stress level ⚖️
7. Avoid: Caffeine, color food dyes, artificial ingredients, white sugar and flours all which contribute to mood swings.

Shrink Your Body Sample Meals for Good Moods: ☺️

Breakfast:
• Protein superfood smoothie with a fat such as, coconut oil, avocado, nut butter 🥤
• Hard boiled eggs 🍳 with avocado
• Omelet with veggies

Lunch:
• Colorful salad 🥗 with chicken or shrimp 🍤
• Sweet potato 🍠 with broccoli 🥦 and melted non-dairy cheese

Dinner:
• Shrimp or chicken 🍗 stir fry using fresh or frozen veggies
• Spaghetti 🍝 squash with your favorite sauce and turkey meatballs
• Black Bean 🫘 and brown rice 🍚 salad
