Let’s talk GREY BLENDING ⬇️🩶

Grey blending is typically done with highlights! Using highlights to break up the grey allows an even and seamless blend that will grow out nicely.

How is it different than Grey Coverage?

To fully COVER the greys, we use a permanent color to pe*****te the cuticle and last. Grey hair is stubborn as hell, so we need the permanent color to fully cover it!

This means the maintenance is your biggest difference to think about. Grey coverage requires a root touch up every 4-5 weeks (could be less depending on how much grey + your preference). Grey coverage also typically gives you a harsh line of demarcation, which can make your incoming greys feel even more noticeable.

Grey blending however does just that - it BLENDS highlights with the grey. This creates a more natural look + grow out. If there is a line of demarcation, it’s going to be soft and barely even noticeable.

If you have the option, we would recommend trying to highlight + blend your greys before going to permanent color because it’s hard to come back from once you start! They can be longer appointments because I’m babylighting the heck out of your hair, but you won’t need to come in near as often as the coverage upkeep. The more you know 🌈
