Dallas, Texas native, Dr. Dana Applewhite is dedicated to helping people lead healthy lives through Chiropractic care. Parker University’s College of Chiropractic bestowed upon her the Doctor of Chiropractic degree along with the honor of receiving a Bachelor of Science in Anatomy and a Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness. Dr. Applewhite also received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry with honors from Xavier University of Louisiana. After college, she shared her love of science as part of the Research Team in the Brown/Goldstein Lab in UT Southwestern’s Department of Molecular Genetics. Michael Brown MD and Joseph Goldstein MD received the 1985 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for their discoveries involving the regulation of cholesterol metabolism. She’s served as part of the official healthcare team for Florida’s Sunshine State Games where most competitions are recognized by their sport’s Olympic Governing Body. She’s also represented the Chiropractic profession in Washington, DC where special sessions with lawmakers were held to continue to promote the science, philosophy and art of Chiropractic. She has been practicing for 11 years and has participated in numerous community health events aimed at empowering individuals and families. Her favorite sports teams are the Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Mavericks. She enjoys listening to all types of music and attending theatrical productions along with spending time with family, friends and her dog, Ginger. Girl Scout Gold Award recipient, avid reader and accomplished writer, Dr. Applewhite uses Chiropractic to address musculoskeletal conditions and to care for the structure and function of the human frame.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Science Center Lubbock 2010 and has over a decade of nursing experience. She then completed her Master in Nursing at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock. Patience is strong believer in the power of positive thinking in the workplace, and her ultimate goal is to provide patient-centered care.
