The Webbs - Missionaries to Brazil
Missionaries serving in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Follow us on our journey as we reach the lost in Brazil with the good news of Jesus Christ!
Our precious little girl started school today! 😭😭 We are SO proud of our Emma Rose! 🌹❤️ She is so brave!!! Would you please pray for her today that she will adjust well, make good friends, and learn Portuguese quickly! 🙏🏻
Ohh the stories behind each person in these pictures! Lives Changed. Spiritual Victories. Eternal Destinies forever altered. Breeana and I have led many of these to the Lord personally this past year and last Sunday I was privileged to baptize them! I am so thankful for their willingness to obey Christ and identify with Him in baptism. We also had our highest attendance to date — 99! (Though I’m convinced a head was missed somewhere 😂)
It was great to host a group from Shady Grove Church in Durham, NC. We have some within this group praying that God would send them as missionaries! Please pray with them about this. It was an added treat that their youth pastor and youth pastors wife are some of our closest friends! Proud of this group.
We had a great Mothers Day here in Brazil. We honored the moms present and best of all Breeana was able to pray with Marcos (young boy pictured) for salvation! This makes 3 saved in the last 2 weeks!
Today as I was leaving the grocery store in our small Brazilian town (ok…it’s really a city of 140,000 people, but still half way around the world) I saw this little gem and instantly felt connected to this person. I contemplated parking and ambushing this person with great taste in college teams when they came back to their car or going back in the store and yelling “O-H” and wait for them to respond “I-O”, but time was tight. I do hope and pray that one day our paths cross and I get to talk to this person. All I can say for now is…Go Buckeyes!
One last post 🙃
This past Sunday we dedicated ourselves to the Lord as parents as we raise Ellie Kate. It was a special service! I invited my father in law to preach and lead the dedication. It was also nice to have Grandmom Rose in the service visiting from TN.
Kids Class! This takes place during our main service on Sunday.
We are currently remodeling the former parsonage that was upstairs into a fellowship space/kids class space. As you can see it’s much needed! We can have 15+ in our kids class. We have a solid rotation of teachers, but are in need of more so we can split classes. Also, please pray for us as we provide training for our teachers.
The church in Carandaí was in much need of some repairs. Thank you for your continued support, because of your generosity we were able to complete the repairs!
Another Catch Up Post -
On January 30th Ellie Kate was born!
19.5 inches. 7lb 2oz.
Playing catch up with our posting - sorry about that! But be looking for more posts shortly.
To Start:
In the Fall of last year our family was called upon to pastor Igreja Batista Livre de Carandaí (Carandaí Free Will Baptist Church). This is a church that was started by Breeana's grandparents nearly 25 years ago. We have been there a little over 6 months now and God is doing some awesome things!
- In that time our attendance has nearly doubled for both Sunday Services! (From 12 to 30 for S.S. and from 30 to 55-60 for our main service)
- We have seen 3 people saved!
- And we have been able to complete some much needed repairs/remodels (Pictures to come in another post)
We rejoice in what God is doing here in Brazil!
Here is a little bit of one of the songs from our Easter program! Emma is the little girl in the pink bow trying very hard not to dance during the songs because her mommy told her to stand very still while she was on stage 😅😂
What a privilege to serve a risen Savior Who gives us hope, assurance, peace, and new life in Him! We celebrated Easter this past weekend with our family with a delicious lunch and a cousin Easter egg hunt, but the main “event” was our Easter service Sunday evening. Our kids have been working very hard on songs and a play entitled “Jesus, Our Passover.” There are several children who participate in our Wednesday Bible program who attend church with their moms, but their dads are unsaved and do not come. They invited family, practiced and practiced and the Lord blessed in a tremendous way. We had 150 in attendance and many of those were family members in need of salvation. They were able to hear a clear gospel presentation (some for the very first time). Please pray that the seeds that were planted will take root and that these precious souls will open their hearts to the Savior! On a personal note, this was Emma’s very first time participating in a church presentation and we are SO proud of her. Portuguese is still difficult for her and she communicates with just a few mains words that she knows, but she practiced her songs over and over for weeks and she did amazing. We are so thankful that the Lord gives our little girl (and us) the courage and help that she needs in order to serve Him!!!
Church days are the BEST days!!! ❤️ Last week JD preached at one of our sister churches across town and Emma enjoyed seeing all of the cows and beautiful rolling hills from the church’s balcony! What a beautiful Sunday morning view! 😍
Our new Wednesday night children’s program started in February and we are so excited that we have had several visitors every night! Our theme this year is “Behold our God” and we are continuing our journey though the Old Testament and will be studying the book of Exodus all year. It has been so exciting to teach kids who have never heard about how God showed his glory, power, and might through His miracles in Egypt and watching them at the edge of their seats soaking it all in! ❤️
JD has done a great job teaching Sunday School and we praise the Lord for how He continues to be with him all throughout this language learning journey! We are seeing victories and growth every week!
Noah is growing like a w**d and finding his voice which keeps me tucked away in the nursery in order to not be a distraction! 😅🤪 To be honest, going to church just to go sit in the nursery can be frustrating and feel pointless at times, but we are teaching Noah that church is important and being there consistently is important too!
Thank you for your continued prayers for our family as we minister here in Brazil! 🇧🇷
Hello from Brazil! As y’all gather for your midweek Bible study and prayer service would you pray for few things here in Brazil:
1. Our Christian School - we began classes a couple of weeks ago and things are going smoothly. Breeana is the elementary art teacher.
2. Emma and myself to continue to make improvements with the language.
3. Those affected by heavy rains. We are in our rainy season and it has rained almost nonstop for weeks, as a result, several places around us have been devastated by flash floods and mudslides. (Attached is a video from a city about 2 hours away from us)
Thanks for your prayers and continued support!

There were some delays with approvals and logistics but they came through with 1 week to spare! Our Christian School plans to open next Thursday, starting this year with only 1st grade and hopes of adding more grades next year. Please pray for final preparations and for a great year!
😅 We definitely “hit the ground running!” JD and I were asked to be in a wedding our first weekend back in Brazil. It was very exciting to see two young converts (2018) promise to each other and before their unsaved friends and family to build their marriage on Christ! Please pray for Flavio and Danielle as they begin their new life together!
We have not been able to have any Christmas parties for the past two years due to government pandemic restrictions, so the opportunity to be together this year has been extra special! I was able to share a devotion at our ladies Christmas party and help lead the children’s Christmas party tonight! Emma had such a good time and she is so happy to be back at “her igreja” (church!). ❤️ We had a few unsaved visitors at both events so we are praising the Lord they were under the sound of the gospel! Please pray that the seeds that were planted will take root in their hearts!
We are back in Brazil!!! After three months of being away, we are SO excited to be back home! 😊 Thank you to all who prayed for our trip! We enjoyed our time in the States and loved being able to see friends and family and to share an update of our work here with so many of your churches! After resting today and decorating our house for Christmas, we are ready to enjoy this special time of the year with our family and our dear brothers and sisters at Hope FWB church!
We have been traveling none stop every weekend for the past two months! 😅 It has been exhausting physically, but at the same time, it has been a very encouraging time! During the month of October, we traveled to NC for several services and a mission’s conference. We enjoyed being able to share our ministry with so many wonderful churches and seeing family and friends as well! Unfortunately, I didn’t remember to take pictures at every church! 🤪🤦🏼♀️🙃
Last week we were able to be with our friends and family at Limestone FWB Church in East TN! They love our family and have supported the work in Brazil for over 20 years! It was so special for me to see my kids getting loved on and spoiled by the same sweet people who spoiled me as a kid! 😊🥰 It was an added bonus to get to spend time with Grandmom Rose and for Emma to learn more about her “mountain roots”! Emma loved looking at the mountains from the window, playing in the creek and catching crawdads and carving her very first pumpkin!
We had a wonderful service this morning at Mansfield FWB Church and enjoyed spending time with our wonderful friends Pastor Mark and Mrs. Susan! They have been with us from the very start of our Brazil journey and we are so thankful for their love, encouragement, help, and prayers over the past few years!
Emma was born in Brazil and has only been to America once when she was three months old, so it has been fun seeing her experience so many new things already. She went with JD through a drive thru for the first time and thought at first that I was talking to him and then asked “Why is the lady talking in the mailbox, daddy?” 😂
Hello friends! After a 29 hour trip with a baby and a toddler, 😅 we arrived in the States for a short furlough. It has been two years since our last visit so we are very excited for the opportunity to be here and to share with many of our supporting churches what God has done in our lives and in Brazil during our first missionary term! We are also looking forward to spending time with friends and family and to experience America through the eyes of our little toddler.
