🔥 Summer Safety Alert! 🔥

Did you know that hot surfaces can burn your dog's paw pads? During these hot months, it's important to protect our furry friends from painful burns. Here are some tips to keep your pup's paws safe:

👟 Walk Early or Late: Schedule walks early in the morning or late in the evening before asphalt and concrete heat up, or after they have had some time to cool down.
✋ Check Surface Temp: Place the back of your hand on the surface for 10 seconds. If it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for your dog!
🥾 Protective Booties: Consider using booties to shield their paws from hot surfaces.
🌱 Choose Wisely: Walk in shaded or grassy areas instead of hot pavement.
🐶 All Surfaces Can Be Hot: Remember, gravel, dirt, and rocky surfaces can also burn paw pads.

Have a dog who's had some basic obedience training, but want to brush up on some skills? A puppy who's finished puppy kindergarten and looking for the next step? Tuesday nights September 14th - October 19th 7-8 PM there are openings for our Continuing Foundations class. Build your relationship, learn some new skills, practice skills that you want to improve on!

If you've recently acquired a puppy and are looking for in person group classes to help with socialization, bonding, and some basic Obedience, there is now a solution right here in the Heritage lobby

Michelle, one of our certified veterinary technicians, has been focused on behavior and training for most of her career and has decided to start offering group puppy classes.

Small class sizes with focus on each individual families training goals. Also some work with cooperative vet care and introduction to grooming.
