Maple Grove Lutheran Church

The last days of the ELCA Youth Gathering. We spent our Service day at Bethlehem Lutheran church, painting and cleaning up the church and hurricane relief center. The closing worship and announcement of the 2027 ELCA Youth Gathering in Minneapolis marked our final day of the Gathering. We concluded with the Swamp Tour and an authentic Dinner.

Hello from “The Big Easy”, It me Jesus-I am spending time with 17,000 of my closest friends at the ELCA Youth Gathering in New Orleans! I even got to meet the Bishop Elizabeth! A little food, Faith & fun! Where am I off to next?

A recap of a very rainy day 3. The kids slept in a bit and then, yes, we took them down bourbon street! Then went back by Jackson Square to do some shopping. Walked in a lot of rain to Smoothie king to rehearse for mass cast then dinner at Champion square food trucks. We also checked out community life that many did not want to do but all ended loving it! Many thanks for sharing your kids with us! Prayers are needed for some homesickness, heat, headaches, tummy aches and patience💗

What a great First Day of AMA Youth ( Alleluia, MGLC,Advent) at the ELCA Youth Gathering! We are all Created to Be: Brave. Today we went to the Vue and learned about the city of New Orleans. We Ended the night at our First Mass Gathering.

Thank you to everyone who brought in items this past week. We are still collecting food donations for the Hope 4 Youth - HopePlace. (If you're not able to bring items on Sunday, the office is open Monday- Wednesday from 9:00am - 3:00pm)

Some of the things we are looking for are:
- Cereal boxes
- Ramen Noodles
- Boxed Noodles
- Pasta Sauce (Marinara and Alfredo)
- Hormel Compleats and Dinty Moore Meals
- Microwave Noodles Bowls
- Granola Bars

Anything you can give greatly helps. Thank you!

- Campbells Soup/Chili - Favorites are - Chicken Noodle and Vegetable
- Rice - Bag (white and brown), Microwaveable Cups, and/or Knorr Rice Sides
- Granola Bars
