Many places in Las Vegas hold many memories for our team. The Caesars Entertainment, Inc. stable of venues are no exception! Our VP, Thuy Loi, and President, Michael Delamere, visited today while conducting a site advance for upcoming project. Over the years PRS worked numerous events at Caesars Palace Las Vegas Hotel & Casino and are looking forward to adding the Caesars Forum to this list later in 2024.

Our VP Thuy Loi recently spent 2 weeks in Taipei, Taiwan recharging for the second half of 2024. PRS has considerable knowledge of the area thanks in large part to Thuy’s multiple journeys over the years to the area. We spent the last few days in rural Idaho doing event security for the Mackay Rodeo (a PRCA event: https://lnkd.in/gCEcn3Cd). Thank you to the Custer County Sheriff's Office and Canyon County Sheriff's Office for their support in aiding us! A great team effort to reach a successful conclusion to a sold out event.

A visit to Los Angeles had two members of PRS management touring the Los Angeles Rams SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park today while attending an industry event. Beautiful design and flow. For those unfamiliar with the location, it’s situated next to the Kia Forum (where the Lakers used to play in the ‘80’s). The site hosted Super Bowl LVI.

Our team is supporting a client who is experiencing copper theft and for the type of product & service they provide to their customers it has our team members on roving vehicle patrols overnights throughout large geographic areas of responsibility. Some tips for such overnights while driving for success:

1. If you are not used to overnight shifts, be sure to take multiple naps if you cannot sleep in the daytime for an extended timeframe.

2. Take 15min breaks every 90min to regain focus. Looking for wildlife, managing weather conditions, and general extreme dark areas requires intent focus.

3. Have protein snacks/food, water, and for most of us caffeine with you!

4. Stay in touch with your colleagues, if you are lucky to have them on your detail. It will help pass the time more quickly and keep your mind engaged.

Over the course of the past approximate 2 week period of time we have completed client events on both coasts of Mexico. While mostly routine issues during normal event operations arose, our teams were quick to handle to ensure proper resolution was had. Thank you to the extended team members who assisted our clients on the engagements.

Throwback to late May 2016 in Spain where we provided event security management and protective support to a client’s President’s Club incentive trip for approximately 300 attendees. Several off-sites including a VIP group of talent who flew in from Canada for a special performance over a group dinner. A great and safe time were had by all!

While Versailles, France is generally a very safe place to visit…there are yet still some issues. While canvassing the neighborhood where commercial activities abound, we found evidence of a car prowl that had occurred sometime overnight on one of the main streets. Be vigilant and aware of your surroundings and belongings.

Who wouldn’t love a pool party?! Thank you to the PRS extended team members who completed a successful client event in Las Vegas at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas and Wynn Resorts XS Nightclub. A safe and enjoyable time was had by attendees. Special thanks and appreciation to Thuy Loi and Robert Odwyer for their oversight!

Flashback Friday to one of the 1st events at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas that PRS completed in early April 2018. We had deployed 2 managers and 6 security drivers in support of the client project. Also a project where each of us were able to drive yet to be released vehicles to transport our principals during their visit. Not every day that happens!

We’ve been out on the Big Island of Hawaii doing some advance work this week. Having walked ~17.5k steps a day to ensure we understand the layout of the venue, route options, staff capabilities, and doing so both day & night hours provides valuable insights (for instance, we learned the venue does pest control of rooms twice a year so a good question to ask about in advance if your VIP’s want and/or expect privacy if the timing happens simultaneous with your event).

Our President, Michael Delamere, and Ray M have known each other since 2010. Since 2014, Ray and PRS have enjoyed collaborating at two organizations he has worked for/with in both protective and consultative capacitities. A fun fact is they both happened to be on the island of Maui at the same time in 2021 and connected for happy hour to share some aloha!

We completed another Sales Kickoff event for a client at the The Venetian Resort Las Vegas this week, which included event security management, executive protection, and a security driver. There was an off site component at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas additionally. We appreciate the team’s efforts and long hours worked to make this program a success for our client! The results of the jury's verdict in this case are likely to cause more scrutiny of programs/plans and the precursors leading up to acts of violence. Foreseeability and actions (or in this case inaction) taken are key components in such instances as this. Burying one's proverbial head in the sand is not an option when it comes to the legalities of mitigating risk. Looking at California Senate Bill 553 passed into law in California and taking effect July 1, 2024, the government is enacting statutes that make threat assessment and workplace violence prevention a requirement for organizations to take responsibility for. It may be starting in California, but other states will follow suit in due time. Are you prepared?
