Human Emotion Vs. God’s Mercy
On Sunday, Delaney Smith taught us from Jonah 4. She reminded us of several important concepts from scripture… 1. As with Jonah, there is impact in holding on to our unresolved emotions. 2. Do we view others as unworthy of God’s grace? 3. Holding onto anger is a barrier too forgiving, and it leads us to become spiritually stagnant. 4. Holding onto unresolved feelings can impact our relationships with God and others. 5. It’s ok to feel hurt, it’s unhealthy to hold on to your hurt. 6. An “us vs. them” mindset is not God’s way 7. Do we love people the way we want to be loved? Do we forgive as we have been forgiven? Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. - Psalm 139:23-24

Let us worship Jesus together with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, this Friday at 6p in the chapel. The windows will be open, and iced drinks + cookies will be served afterward! Let’s encourage one another as we see the Day approaching! (Heb. 10:25)

Invite a friend, and stay for fellowship afterward with cookies and coffee. Col. 3:16

We are eager to embed Christ’s message deeply within us…that we might teach one another and sing to God, our very lives intoned as liturgies, worship responses to the redemptive action of God. (Col. 3:16) Christologically-rich singing has been at the heart of Christian worship since the beginning of the Church.
