🌿✨ Imagine a summer evening surrounded by nature, where the power of live theater comes alive! 📜 This Tuesday, Aug. 27 at 6 p.m., join us at Lake Wilderness Arboretum for a captivating one-act drama, "David," penned by Maple Valley's own Ed Corrigan. 🎭

This evocative free play journeys back to the era of the "Woodstock Generation," a time teeming with beauty and chaos. Featuring heartfelt performances by local actors Ed Benson, John Riedel, and Arthur Vanhooser, with live music by Jim Hanna.

We are thrilled to announce that the incredibly talented local playwright Ed Corrigan's original play "David" will be our feature this coming Tuesday, Aug. 27 at 6 p.m. as part of our free Summer Concert Series in the Lake Wilderness Arboretum! 🎭✨

This One-act drama, transports us back to the years of the so-called “Woodstock Generation,” which was both a beautiful and chaotic time in American history. The play features local actors Ed Benson, John Riedel, and Arthur Vanhooser. Music by Jim Hanna.

We are thrilled to announce that our incredibly talented local artist, Ashley Ashbeck, has been chosen to transform the Maple Valley Historical Society building with her stunning mural! 🖌️✨ As a talented local artist, Ashley's work will surely bring our community's rich history to life vibrantly and beautifully!

🖌️✨ We had an overwhelming number of unique and amazing submissions, making this decision incredibly tough—so a big thank you to everyone who participated!

The final details for the painting are almost complete, and we'll be sharing a schedule soon so you can come, watch, meet the artist and visit the museum.

Meet Kaiya Bu****en, the 15-year-old musical prodigy who's been stealing hearts and tunes since she was just 6! 🎶 This young powerhouse has mastered not only her voice but also the piano, guitar, AND violin. By 11, she was already songwriting and producing her own tracks! 🎤✨ From winning first place in the MV Idol singing contest at 12 to releasing her debut single "The Rain" at 13, Kaiya's journey continues to grow. We are so excited to have Kaiya as our featured artist at the Free Summer Concerts at the Arboretum next week, Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 6 p.m.

🌳✨ Our beloved tree outside the Maple Valley Creative Arts Center just got a stunning makeover! Yesterday, Jackie Riedel, Shannon Brannon, and Mary Jane Glaser infused it with vibrant colors, and we can’t stop admiring their beautiful handiwork. Volunteers like them truly make our community shine!
