Today, the Dove Mountain Rotary Club completed their monthly service project at the Marana Food Bank by volunteering their time sorting, portioning, and handing out goods. Amazing work!

Last week, our wonderful Resident Care Coordinator Brenda sprinkled a little extra magic into our community with an enchanting Leprechaun Scavenger Hunt in our Memory Care unit!
Our residents joined forces with Brenda to orchestrate this delightful adventure, hiding mischievous leprechauns all around our community and even planning out some fabulous prizes for the lucky winners! Then, race was on! Our residents embarked on a spirited quest to seek out every hiding leprechaun, turning our community into a bustling treasure trove of joy and laughter! From nooks to crannies, laughter echoed through the halls as each leprechaun was discovered, bringing smiles to all who joined in the hunt! A heartfelt thank you to Brenda for crafting such a memorable and joy-filled experience, and to our incredible residents for infusing our community with their boundless enthusiasm and spirit!
A massive round of applause for our incredible Chef Jason, who dazzled us all with his culinary expertise in a special cooking demonstration right here at La Sonora! Chef Jason took us on a flavorful journey, demonstrating the art of preparing mouthwatering Beef Tenderloin. From selecting the perfect cut to mastering the cooking technique, our residents were treated to an unforgettable lesson in gourmet cooking! But wait, there's more! Our residents didn't just watch from the sidelines – they rolled up their sleeves and got hands-on in creating the perfect salsa under Chef Jason's guidance! It was a joyous, messy, and utterly delicious experience! Now armed with new culinary skills and inspiration, our residents are ready to spice up their Happy Hour with homemade delights crafted with love and guided by our amazing chef! Our very own resident Barbara won our pre-Easter challenge: Guessing how many chocolates were packed into the bunny! With her keen eye and probably a dash of magic, Barbara hit the jackpot and nailed the closest number. Who knew her chocolate radar was so finely tuned?
