2. Schedule: Creating a schedule is incredibly important, it allows you to begin creating a routine.
3. Accountability: Holding yourself accountable for your work is important - no one else can do your work but you!
4. Reminders: We all need reminders about important dates coming up - whether it be for a test or to hang out with friends and family!

Hello everyone! If you are an appreciator and admirer of art make sure to stop by the Marietta Cobb museum of art for their exclusive exhibition!🎟️🧑🏽‍🎨

Preservation in action! In 2019 Cobb Landmarks met with Marietta City Schools to discuss the uncertain future of the c. 1950 Lemon Street Grammar School, a vacant segregation-era school building in Marietta. The school district was looking to construct a new building for the Marietta Performance Learning Center and decided to use the project as an opportunity to renovate the Lemon Street Grammar School instead, returning the school to its original use: educating Marietta's students. Marietta City Schools worked to preserve the building's exterior and key architectural features while rehabilitating the interior, making it conducive to a modern learning environment. The school reopened in 2021. Cobb Landmarks presented Marietta City Schools with a preservation award in 2023 in recognition of their work. The school was added to the National Register of Historic Places - NPS in 2024.

On this day in history !!

April 10, 1925 F. Scott Fitzgerald's timeless novel 'The Great Gatsby' was published in New York City. The book was not a huge success then, and when Fitzgerald passed in 1940, he believed his work would be forgotten.
Fast forward to today, and The Great Gatsby is a part of school curriculums nationwide and even had a movie adaptation with all of the biggest stars.

Today is National Empanada Day!
Empanadas are first cited to be from Portugal and Galacia, Spain. "Empanada" comes from "empanar" which means "to wrap or coat in bread" in Spanish.
