It was odd and there is something inside you that tells you something is wrong, it’s good to run with that and go the opposite direction. My new world was an interesting sport and I felt good with my choice to roll with doing my next dispute what got thrown at me. There were so many peculiar things in front of my face…but hey, ye thought I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will be with you my rod and my staff will be your comfort. Unflappability was a quality I knew worked as I shared my experiences she related hers and I knew she was in my team there had been many battles. We talked and I held a grudge because, I had not been heard and somehow I was always wrong. I’m still angry he said, hmm! More work to do, I took pleasure in knowing the gospel was somewhere we had common ground. It was like Andre Young quoting Martin Luther King Jr; there was no higher standard. We connected and I picked up on what she wasn’t saying so when it turned sexual, I made my move to see if she was serious, what happened next was most curious indeed. When you are the subject of attention you get talked about and there is occasionally an indirect response. I was not going to be apart of that. The big dogs hunt and while a little chasing is fine, it was always my choice on what happens next, my terms, my game. Growth was the game, some you learn, some you win. Tom Mann started a lure company on the banks of the lake in eufaula. If he was a good fisherman he was Pulitzer at writing and that’s what had me there learning more. Who was this man and why, why why?

11/30/2022

Suddenly it made sense to me and I contemplated my own sexual sin and the conversation with my neighbor. He hated the way Hershel had dishonored women and marriage. It was unforgivable and his own son’s life was a clear measuring stick for the effects of that sin. A consultant friend of mine who say, it won’t matter what he has done in his life to conservatives and the media painted this strike with broad wide strokes and the message was you faith is a fraud; while the lie was your God is not capable of using a broken life. There is a sober humility and shame that breaks a heart over sin and arrogance is a blaring sign of trouble. This problem of race was so complicated. It was faith that carried many through the troubled existence of exiting slavery, however somehow the injustice of it all got projected on the government as the savior and what an unsuitable savior that would allow you to murder your own child, a child of passionate irresponsibility and uncommitted love. Intimacy that ripped apart the very wonder it was designed to produce. This evil pleasure of murder had been removed after what felt like a hundred years of bloodshed and death the magnitude and hope of which many times over quadrupled the horror of slavery but the standard of righteousness was still in the hands of government because that’s where people looked for justice. It wasn’t the government that was the standard for shame with my sin…it was God. And while we celebrate Moses and King David we also know clear well the tourtured existence they lived as a result of their choices in life to murder and kill. We can’t just look it away when we know the damage it has caused as we revere God…this was the tension in line to vote. The evil of murder and immorality was brilliantly juxtaposed against the projection of a Holy man who cared nothing about Holy Matters only social justice…this was the evil that had been sold into bo***ge and while they were voting you could feel the tension in their hearts as they were also violating what they presumed to be standing for. Christ had not yet redeemed the culture and the feminist were there to hold the cloaks of those that were there to beat Jesus .

I pulled in to pick up an order of soup, the lot was 75-80 percent full and the mix of retail price as designed so elegantly to live and breath. You could drop your child off for dance lessons, enjoy time with a friend over a meal, or play a game of pool, get an ice cream cone or about 15 other things. Each unit was small and well positioned. We need more extraordinary choices and more clarity on how our election process works. I’m a lawyer she said as she gave me the name of the person handling legal work for the County. She acknowledged my rights in a dismissive way and any sort of dialogue was viewed a political bigotry which is what was happening in our county. The Indians were part of or our hope I believed. Look at the way they made this corner sing with life! It could t have been more that 800 sqft and patio space to match….slammed with orders and people till 11p all the time!

Everywhere I went, I was as watching and listening to people … you could feel both the presence and absence of emotions. I filled up my tank as I passed 8-10 people holding up political signs for a candidate who had largely and blatantly supported legislation and policy that both increased gas prices and caused inflation of food prices. They were standing in front of what use to be one of the largest Kroger grocery stores in the country…and while you did hear a honk every once in a while, faces were covered. One could not help thinking…wow, great spot, did a Republican organization pay you to stand there? People are entitled to their expression the absence of noise was the loudest thing I heard. It was like opponents of HB1013 at the Capitol…they were there with signs but also not willing to talk or be photographed. There is something so troubling in our mist when public expression is also an experiment in shame. A conversation at the laundromat with a peer of the home industry could not have been more opposed to Abrams as Governor. A Black man in his 50s, excited about life and prospering in his trade.

Your Goodness is Running After Me. I remember the day that Thom’s grace shinned on me, he offered me the honor of using his shop to make my American Flag series. My belief was and still is know that we can make America our own. We can express the values and purposes of our nation to express us the way we desire, so used my Folk Art training from Mr I, Beau and Ilia and poured them into my art to express my beliefs. One night I was offered the opportunity to share my work through exhibition at one of my vital gathering spaces. My friend Leo was holding political meetings here and I really didn’t understand what he was doing. One day he snapped a picture with a former County Chair in the foreground with my flag in the background. We need a new light 💡 on America I wrote in my bio. Let my Jesus change your life the choir sang. Mom had made an afghan blanket in Georgia colors that year that Georgia won the National Championship and shortly there after Herschel Walker won the Heisman Trophy. I know what people say and I have to tell you that I’ve heard it myself how he loved the Constitution…it’s hard to fake South Georgia authenticity, so when he announced an event at the Penley art gallery, I went. Penley was one of the greatest icons of Americana …his strokes spoke to me as an artist and they did to others as well.

When you are running for office you visit all the people in the community, especially the ones most in need! Housing, Healthcare and Hoops! I love the responses I got from folks who live in a place that has never been visited by a candidate in 10 years. Oh and I signed into a partnership agreement today on an important land deal.

The largest Mandir in North America and Atlanta’s largest Hindu Temple … is always wanted to know more and I of course have a deep respect for the Indian people … I never would have made it through Georgia Tech with my friends with an Indian heritage. It was an invitation from Kartik that made the time compelling for me, if he felt it was important, it was important, so I spent my morning learning and understanding. The honor that was bestowed on Republican Candidates extraordinary …to have spoken with or sought wisdom and guidance from the swami was a mark of respect and passage. The three or four business pioneers were the crown of respect among the audience. Everyone was on the same level here…the Mayor of John’s Creek was extraordinary as he took time to wave and acknowledge even the small children. This was a really great guy. Praying for wisdom and courage to make wise decisions over the next few weeks!

We could build a celebration of this day in our community! I can’t imagine it being any more important now that ever. We have a serious constitutional illiteracy problem in America and South Cobb!

Vote The Issues

The Cobb GOP in the last year has gone through a major transformation. The Complete turnover in leadership with Salleigh Grubbs campaign was both needed at healthy and not without growing an learning. No one is perfect and when you look at what has been accomplished under Grubbs, it’s impressive. We have a slate of America First minded candidates who care about common sense kitchen table issues who are willing to do the work of winning. Anna Tillman’s District along the eastern side of the 75/285 South/East Marietta Loop is filled with Swing Voter support as we walked and knocked medium/high density communities people welcomed her campaign for strong law enforcement. Support for small business and addressing the causes of inflation.

Well, I was so grateful to be invited. I’d driven down to spend the night…I suppose it was a pilgrimage for me. I couldn’t have hoped for a more amazing teacher. Mate had told me to listen and that’s all TJ did was smile and listen. I get it. Every group has its insiders. I saw down at the table and I could not have been more well positioned between Mr Byrd, Vice Chair of Elections, former Council Member of Cherokee and Beatrice, the Wonder Woman of Frontline and Mallory Staples and her Campaign Manager. Mallory was really the first candidate that had really impressed me…part of that was because of Stan Fitzgerald…she was courageous and authentic and strong, her Manager, the same yet captivating with her golden dress and pleasant demeanor, she loved politics. Mike was so incredibly gracious and it was the small acts of honor that drew me in…his wife had been my lifeline to 1031 and I got the rest of the story from Singleton…the Lobbyist has written the bill. I loved how proud Mike was over Charlice’s work in the legislature…what a great role model and that was the blessing to me. Surprisingly to me I was not unknown in this crowd…hmm, kind of made me think. Everyone was a Representative or a Mayor or such, Snellville, Loganville, John’s Creek. One Rep knew my Godfather…so crazy the threads of this web of relationships. I’m in Multifamily, I said…I was the Director of Acquisitions for a group out of AZ or Tx and worked for Tony Robbins, we had ultimate frisbee in common. My gift here was encouragement and it was soon evident. The world of cheese in residential had moved and a new field of flowers was fresh to pollinate and encourage. It was like homecoming and almost a pep rally. Cole knocked it out of the park…and he’d grown as a person. Mike Pompano was real and warm and engaging. He shared a story about declaring who he was as an Evangelical Christian to a Muslim audience in the Middle East or somewhere and the lesson was be who you are, people respect it even if they are not the same. The greatest challenge in America was Work Ethic…it made a lot of sense. Personal Responsibility was Devan’s contribution to my life.

It was enough to cause a stirring of my spirit and others as I looked around. A young woman with subtle sense of humility and courage singing a song about identity based on who the Great I AM says that I am. There is just something about the forces in play here. It was a great confession as I thought about it…a member of our singles ministry I watched young men and women desiring an extraordinary match in life. The path was paved with people taking full responsibility for cultivating their character and it usually resulted in a match. It was self responsibility that match with an identity that was married to its maker, it’s author. I believe if was her style, her hair, the humility and courage that really opened up an authentic spirit in our house of worship. My mom normally does not like to be up front at worship, but here she would remark about how authentic and real it was. Everywhere we went together we would open conversations and it wasn’t always who others acknowledged her to me…for me it was real. That young woman’s work of ministry changed my life today. Humility and courage broke a cultural paradigm for me and it was absolutely beautiful so I acknowledged it to her when I saw it. I don’t think I could have been prouder of my community of worship. Life was challenging for sure but the inspiring faith of our community made a powerful difference in my life!
