Tonight's Feature Film is "The American Dream", an adrenaline pumping, non-stop emotional roller coaster about two college bound football buddies who discover the importance of coming into their own. Keith and DJ, the team's nucleus have been friends since Pop-Warner. They dreamed about being the highlight on ESPN, on the field Keith and DJ’s talents shine the same. Off the field the two buddies don’t share the same lifestyles. When helmets are tucked away and the whistles blown, Keith (Gian Shaw) is forced to deal with issues such as a non-supportive mom (Yeena Fisher) a life-long absent father with little to no money. To an outsider looking in, DJ (Hannibal Thompson) had the perfect life. DJ's Christian parents were still together which granted him a level playing field in the game of life. Their biggest fan Marvin (Marcus D. Spencer), DJ’s uncle has been a supporter of the two boys since they first put on a helmet. As solid as DJ’s family was his father (Antoine Davis) who is a detective, ordered the pair to steer clear of Marvin and his not so righteous ways. The summer before college Marvin, DJ and Keith reunite after years of being disconnected. Marvin offers them a job delivering packages. Keith always lacking in family support looks up to Marvin and wants to do a good job. One day Keith brings home a big black bag and his mother aims to teach her son a lesson. Her actions detour the two powerhouses road to victory. Keith, DJ and Marvin find themselves in a position with the big bad wolf Jake Malone (Ahku). They soon find out the hard way that life never really goes according to plan especially when football is added to the equation. With this unique story The American Dream comes struggle, choices, family and forgiveness.
