Happy Hooves Therapeutic Equestrian Center is located at Eden Farms in Marietta, SC. We provide the
Non-profit 501(c)(3) that provides therapeutic riding and equine related therapies to individuals with special needs as well as at risk youth. We are one of only 5 Premier Accredited PATH International facilities in all of South Carolina, and the only one in the Upstate. Based out of Eden Farms horse barn in Marietta, SC since 2001, we see miracles happen on horseback everyday!

A trip to the barn is the perfect way to close out your summer: We loved hanging out with the kids from Greenville’s Judson YMCA as they rode horses, toured the barn, saw a horse shoeing demo, and had picnic and playground time on Tonka’s Trail. 🌞🐎

Our annual fundraiser for Happy Hooves, our non-profit Therapeutic Equestrian Center, promises to be an unforgettable evening on Saturday, September 14th, 2024!
Wines & Equines guests will enjoy delicious Mutts BBQ, beer & wine from Haulin’ Hops, therapeutic riding demonstrations, live music, silent & live auctions, and much more. WYFF 4 News anchor, Sydney Shadrix, will host the evening!
All proceeds raised will go to support Happy Hooves Therapeutic Equestrian Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that helps special needs children and at risk youth benefit from the healing powers of therapeutic riding and equine related therapies.

We had a wonderful visit with Cherokee Children’s Home! These middle and high schoolers enjoyed a day filled with grooming, saddling, and riding 3 of our sweet therapy horses. Maggie and Flashy did well, but Asher was the favorite horse to ride! Thank you to our wonderful volunteers and donors for making days like this possible!

The special needs class from Skyland Elementary came out for a visit today! They enjoyed touring the barn, caring for the horses, and riding. One parent said because her child had sensory issues, he hadn’t been able to wear a helmet before and didn’t think he would be able to ride. When his turn came, he was able to put on a helmet and had a fantastic time riding Chloe! The mom said “I am about to cry. know this is God’s work you’re doing. Thank you!” 🙏 🐎🤩

A big thank you goes to The Barbara Stone Foundation for the generous grant they awarded to Happy Hooves! Because of them, children with special needs will be able to participate in Happy Hooves’ therapeutic riding lessons and equine assisted activities. The grant check was presented to us at their annual Bingo Bash at Magnetic South Brewery this past weekend where a good time was had by all!

Middle schoolers from Trailhead Community School joined us today for our School at the Barn program! Not only did they enjoy a therapeutic riding lesson, they also worked on life skills like effective communication, team work, and understanding non-verbal communication. Another volunteer workday is complete! A big thank you goes to freshman students from Greenville Technical College for spending their day helping with barn jobs and caring for our horses. In this photo they are cleaning and disinfecting the brush boxes for 20 of our therapy horses. Their hard work is very much appreciated!

Students from the special education classes at Thomas E Kerns Elementary School enjoyed a day filled with therapeutic riding and equine assisted learning! Teachers have reported increased confidence, core strength, as well as improved gross and fine motor skills. Equine Assisted Learning activities in the barn may have seemed like labeling parts of the horse, but it was also about naming and labeling emotions the students, teachers, and even their therapy horses may be experiencing.

We had a wonderful Winter day with students from the special needs class of Liberty Middle School! As part of our School at the Barn program, they spent their day in therapeutic riding lessons and Equine Assisted Learning to improve cognitive processing & social skills. There was still plenty of time for picnic and playground time too!

“I am so glad to be back!” announced one of the students from Thomas E Kerns’ special education classes said as they jumped off the bus. Thanks to the generous support of our donors, the students spent their school day in therapeutic riding lessons, learning social skills, caring for therapy horses, and more. We even had a special visit from our farrier, Kenny, who gave a horseshoeing demonstration!
