📊 Gen Z may be new to the housing market, but they're diving in with enthusiasm! 🚀 About 93% of adult Zoomers want to own a home, and 58% aim to build wealth through property ownership. But it's not all smooth sailing. 🌊
High interest rates and a lack of available homes have 60% of Gen Z worried they might never own a home. Top worries include affordability, with 54% fearing they won't be able to afford a home and 48% concerned about hidden costs. Only 18% of Gen Z buyers say they could afford a home purchase. With 80% believing the market will worsen, many feel stuck. 😓
Financial barriers are a big hurdle. About 63% of Zoomers have less than $10,000 in savings, and 17% have nothing saved at all. High prices and interest rates are significant obstacles. 💸
Despite these challenges, nearly 1 in 3 Zoomers think they'll own a home worth more than $1 million someday. However, 52% anticipate their first home will cost less than $250,000. Some Zoomers are so eager to own homes that 56% would buy a property with asbestos, and 54% would buy without central air conditioning or heating. 🏠

This weekend was truly special as I spent it with my brother, Kurt, and his family in Winona, Minnesota. Initially, I booked this flight to spend three days at Mayo Clinic for tests to donate my kidney to Kurt. But, as many of you know from my recent stories, a living donor kidney was found just three weeks ago, and Kurt is now home and recovering well. ❤️🩹
With my flight already booked, I decided to make the most of it by spending quality time with my baby brother. We kept things simple, just as I wanted. I accompanied Kurt to the hospital for an infusion, cheered on my niece at her basketball tournament, enjoyed a buffet at Pizza Ranch, and spent a full 10 hours at the ballpark watching Ruby play softball.
This morning, we went to church together, then set up a big umbrella for the dock of their small pond. We also drove around the beautiful farmlands of Winona, sharing stories and catching up on life. One of the highlights was having dinner with all my brothers and Naomi, making the weekend even more special. It was a weekend filled with love, simplicity, and togetherness. It was perfect. 🌾❤️

A few weeks ago I shared that I was hoping to be able to donate a kidney to a friend of mine who has Stage 4 Kidney Disease. In a few weeks I am headed to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota for three days of testing. I have 16 different doctors appointments to determine if I am both physically and mentally healthy enough to donate. I really hope I pass the test because this friend of mine is actually my youngest brother, Kurt. Kurt is one of the most selfless guys on the planet. Him and his wife, Tammy, have adopted 6 kids in the last 18 years. They pour their hearts into loving their family and helping others. And, its time for some of that good karma to come back to them. Say a prayer for us! We got this!! And, if you ever want to do something truly impactful I urge you to consider being a donor. The average wait time for a kidney transplant is 3 to 5 years in the US. We need more people to step up.
