Tyler Anderson has been a member at Wesley Chapel UMC for quite some time. Growing up Tyler was a part of Boy Scout Troop 714, where he completed many projects through in and around the church. He even celebrated his Eagle Court of Honor right here at WCUMC Marietta. Tyler graduated from Young Harris College in 2020 where he received a bachelor's degree in history. When he is not running around all of Metro Atlanta for work, you can catch him manning the tech booth on Sunday mornings. Tyler is trustee chair, as well, and would love for you to come talk to him about how you can help!

Dawn Anderson has been a member of Wesley Chapel for many years. She remembers reminding her now 26 year old son when he was a toddler not to go talk to the drummer during children’s church. Never one to be a pew warmer, Dawn has been involved in everything from Youth Leadership, to Praise Band to the Staff Parish Relations Committee. Dawn is happiest when she is sitting at a crowded table laughing, talking and cutting up. You may recognize her as one of the angels from the Drive Thru Nativity. She’s the one who, by her own admission can’t dance but doesn’t let that stop her.

Wesley Chapel has been such an important part of her life. In her own words, “When I talk about my church family, it is truly a FAMILY. Whether it’s helping me when I need an extra set of hands, cheering the praise band from the back row or just smiling when I need it, my Wesley Chapel Family is my lifeline.“

Marcie has been leading children and families to Jesus for 23 years at two United Methodist churches. During that time, she’s been a children’s director, youth director, family ministries director and recreation coordinator. In 11 years at Wesley Chapel, she has expanded the basketball program all the way through high school (and has learned more than she ever thought possible about the game).

Marcie’s background includes several years working with the United Methodist Publishing House to develop and write VBS curriculum, including filming her VBS program for the following year as a “test church.” She also trained church leaders and volunteers in creative ways to share the gospel with children at GBOD conferences.

One of Marcie’s passions is mission work. She’s served on several trips to Haiti, Honduras and Jamaica as well as domestic trips that focused on post-hurricane relief.

At Wesley Chapel, you’ll find Marcie giving children’s sermons, teaching Sunday School and coordinating mission projects. She also loves organizing fellowship activities, craft groups – and, of course, cheering on all our basketball players in the gym!

A great day today at Wesley Chapel - fellowship and packing fifty SweetCases for Foster Love. These bags will be used to share with children entering the foster system in our community. We had a great time sharing lunch together then decorating, filling and praying over the SweetCases. Thank you to everyone who helped make today happen- donating, bringing a covered dish, set up, clean up and, of course, packing the bags.

Reminder that after the 11 AM service tomorrow, July 28th, we will be in the gym packing duffle bags for Foster Love. Lunch will happen during this time.

Elizabeth is from Pickens County, GA. She attended Young Harris College, where she met her husband Tyler. She graduated in December of 2020 with a Theatrical Design and Production Degree with an emphasis on Audio and Lighting, as well as a music Minor with a Vocal emphasis. She is currently a Nursing Student at Chamberlain University and working as a Pediatric Medical Assistant! She helps lead worship as a vocalist Sunday mornings here at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church of Marietta.
