Dr. Megan’s mom, Barb passed away very unexpectedly last week. Barb was an amazing mother & a vital part of the restoration & remodel of Azul Health over the past year. Her sweet disposition & kind, calming presence are already greatly missed.

Please be patient with Dr. Megan as she returns all of the messages and emails that accumulated over the busy weekend. Thank you ❤️

Azul Health is temporarily closed at this time due to a family emergency. All current patients are asked to text or email Dr Megan any urgent needs/refill requests. Our beautiful Mama/Grandma suffered an internal arterial bleed at home, 6 days after what we were told was a successful surgery to remove a recently diagnosed ovarian mass. Her hemoglobin dropped to 5.1 from the bleed which caused her to lose consciousness as her brain was not able to get enough bloodflow. The fantastic team at Unity Point St. Lukes Hospital ER did a great job getting her stabilized & St. Luke's LifeGuard Air Ambulance team transferred her to the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics where the ICU & other specialty teams are caring for her. The Interventional Radiology team was able to get her to the OR & stop the bleeding. She is currently on life support as doctors determine the extent of the anoxic brain injury she sustained while her oxygen & blood levels were low. Please PRAY for healing & comfort for the entire family, but especially for our wonderful mom/grandma Barb who is one of the BEST out there ❤️
