Annika, a student at Marquette Alternative High School shared with us at a Jobs for Michigan's Graduates Program that she wanted to attend NMU's Cosmetology program with hopes to one day open her own salon!💇
The Upper Peninsula Michigan Works! team was able to come together to implement a work-based learning opportunity at UP Hair Company, so she could get hands-on experience working at a salon!💆♀️
After completing her hands on experience, Annika is even more excited to go to Cosmetology School! 🏫
Barb, the owner of UP Hair Company, was impressed by Annika and looks forward to helping more students like Annika with work-based learning! 👩💼
