Quality EMS has developed an in house protocol that ensures some of our sickest patients receive the best care anywhere!
We work closely with UPMC Passavant hospital to move many procedures and tasks normally performed in the Emergency Room, to the back of our ambulances. They are carried out by our clinicians during the transport to the ER. This ensures that our patients are prepared to go straight to the cath lab upon arrival.
Care like this is only possible because of the amazing medical professionals we have at Quality EMS. They strive to push the limits of pre hospital care and to ensure that the communities we serve get the best possible treatments.
We are also very proud to announce that because of this dedication, we have been awarded the prestigious Mission: Lifeline EMS Gold achievement award. Our team has diligently worked towards this over the last year and will continue to excel moving forward.
Groundbreaking initiatives like this are only possible because the municipal leaders in the six municipalities we serve are leading the way and ensuring we get the financial support we need.
Please thank them and our crews the next time you see them!
Check out WPXI-TV Pittsburgh at 4pm today for more info!
New protocol for area EMS service helps rural patients get life-saving heart attack treatment faster When someone has a heart attack, every second counts — which can be an issue for people who may live half an hour away from a hospital. So, an area EMS service is adopting a new protocol that kickstarts the care these patients need from inside the back of an ambulance.
With the temps soaring over the next few days, remember that prevention is better than a cure!
Drink lots of fluids, stay hydrated, and try to spend as much time in cool, shaded environments.
To the citizens of our six communities:
The EMS crisis is real and is impacting EMS agencies in our immediate area. Eureka EMS has announced they will have to cease operations by 2025 or significantly cut their services provided. This, as you can imagine, will greatly impact how emergency lifesaving care is provided, and could ultimately cost lives. Quality EMS has engaged and partnered with the municipal leaders of each of our communities and we are proud to say that EACH AND EVERY municipality has stepped up to ensure that the best possible emergency ambulances are available to respond for their citizens. Your municipal leaders are leading the way and setting the example for all others to follow. The next time you see them please give them your support and thanks for stepping up to ensure our towns and boroughs are safe.
To the municipal leaders of our six communities:
We are very grateful for your support and look forward to continuing to grow our partnership to ensure the best possible emergency medical care is provided together. You truly are trailblazers, and an example for all other leaders to follow.
Please stop by and help us celebrate!!

Today we had a very special guest at our station. Harry last met our crews while he was in cardiac arrest. Harry's family provided life saving CPR prior to the arrival of police and EMS.
After a lengthy resuscitation, Harry regained a pulse and was transported to UPMC Passavant. Harry and his wife Janet are looking forward to many more years together!
Pictured below are the team who helped save Harry's life:
