This past Sunday, Sunrise Mall hosted the 4th Annual Blue Angel Car Show. The event attracted a record 512 vintage cars and more than 2,000 spectators. The show, recognized as one of Long Island’s largest car shows of the year, benefitted the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention (AFSP) Long Island Chapter: Team Brittany Marie, and raised a record $30,000.
Attendees enjoyed delicious food, grooved to music, and had the chance to win awesome prizes. Thank you to event organizer, Carrie Aronson, and Urban Edge Vice President of Specialty Leasing, Patricia Zafferese, for making this event so successful.

The Massapequa Coast Little Leaguers who made it all the way to the Little League World Series received a welcome from Sunrise Mall’s vice president, Joseph DeGiorgio, prior to the start of their hometown parade where nearly a thousand residents lined the streets to cheer on their favorite team. Urban Edge Properties, owners of the mall, are donating money to the team to assist them in preparing for next season and another run at the Little League World Series challenge.

Thank you everyone who has reached out with concern for the Koi fish. We identified a number of institutions who shared in our commitment to protect the fish and provide them with a safe, secure, and healthy environment. We have already distributed almost half to their new homes with the remainder heading to their new location very shortly. The koi are being well cared for in the interim.

We have received many questions from the community regarding the koi fish residing at Sunrise Mall.
After several months of conducting thorough reviews of various applications and requests, Sunrise Mall has made the determination that to protect the health and future of its koi fish population it will transfer ownership to a number of appropriate candidates. They will be notified shortly as they share our commitment to protect the koi and provide them with a safe, secure, and healthy environment.
We appreciate everyone's interest in their well-being and are excited to have the koi move into their new homes.
