I cannot seem to post anything on my ‘Gary KAMIL’ page…it all shows up in this Fitness City page, which is my business . None of my FBk friends have seen, or commented on my page anymore. Any ideas on how to once again reclaim my personal page, which I’ve had for ten years !?? Any ideas will be truly appreciated ! Gary KAMIL

So...they cut me open like a Pez Dispenser. 😜. Healing slowly , with my amazing “nurse “ Terri ! This is what real love does !! See you all soon ...and then I can figure out how to get Fitness City going again. It’s been a long, grueling ride ! Just want to get back to doing what I love...and my gym members seem to feel the same. I will be, eventually, the happiest gym owner in the world !

...everyone had a fantastic time at the G-Code Muscle Mania , held here at Fitness City on August 11th ! Great people, amazing food, men, women, bodybuilders, powerlifters...all training together, making new friends, and lots of giveaways and fine products from G-Code Nutrition !

FYI ....just in case you were wondering, we OF COURSE still value and have pride in our long running relationship with Universal Supplements, and their Animal brand ! They have always been, and still are great supporters of our gym, as we are for them ! There is mutual respect ( and long running friendship ) between each of these amazing companies . Universal has grown World Wide, and we only hope for similar success for Greg and his fine company. There is certainly room for two GREAT supplement companies in this industry, and I’m ( we’re ) happy and fortunate to be a part of both teams ...and will watch them continually prosper !!

Friends (of The City) I know I should be updating this site WAY more often, and its a well known fact that I LOVE to write about all things related to our common bond of training, competition, and everyday life at the gym..yet lately I find myself overly immersed in the actual running of our home, and don't make enough time for updates. Having said that, I sure appreciate those who post and comment on our FC page, knowing fully well that in person we share millions of laughs in here, and I have made it my point to know and value each and every one of you gym members ( and visitors). I guess what I'm saying is ; if you can make it into Fitness City, you'll always have my undivided attention, and will gladly share ideas about anything ...gym related or not. All of you who train here already know that. Hopefully, I am considered one of the most hands on owners of any gym...and care deeply for all of you....always have ! Our doors are always open (literaly). As the sign in the window here says, "visitors always welcome". I mean that !! Now, time to amp up those workouts of your's...its just about Spring !!! Time to expose all your (hopefully) hard, smart work all winter !! :-)

...just a little insight of what goes on within the walls of Fitness City; and I don't mean the obvious serious, methodical training , utilizing all the latest , as well as the time proven methods to become stronger and more fit...and jacked. Of course that's the reason members walk through our doors, but beyond that expected energy and camaraderie ...the clanging of weights and spotting, good natured kidding around, and all one would expect from a "true" no nonsense facility like ours ...what sets us apart may be the discussions going on later , near closing time. Now I'm the first to point out the relatively newer crap which has taken over many "gyms". There are memes aplenty to highlight ( and poke fun at ) the ridiculous things some members do , and don't do, in their gyms. No, I'm talking about naturally differing and various topics that many of our members discuss, at times agreeably, sometimes vehemently disagreeably...but always actually listening to the other person's opinion and reasoning. Say what you want, but basic banter revolving around simply reps , sets, max's proteins etc., gets a bit old and shall I say , not close to being stimulating...what I'm referring to is topics running the gamut from war torn countries, labor laws, energy production and its ties to the almighty dollar ( tonight's round table), and even to medical research, politics..and even the interpretation of quantum physics !! Simply put, this gym ( and other similar facilities) , besides the love of training, and having a history rich in creating and hosting great athletes, is not just a one trick
Pony ! We have managed to combine a kick ass , old school gym...steeped in 38+ years of NJ gym history, with an atmosphere akin to the long running show, " Cheers" I value this extra round table, informal friendship building equation as I do the actual nuts and bolts of what our initial purpose here is. I believe we do them both very well, and absolutely love the trust in each other , which transpires past the weights, and creates a shared and deeper experience than your run of the mill club. Of course, many don't partake in these sometimes philosophical discussions ...come in to train, kick ass and take numbers, and that's just fine. If I may say so, we're like a fine wine...we get better with time. Our more experienced gym members understand this...our goals and lifting priorities change and adapt over time, and all who know me will verify my passion for all things fitness, past present and future, as well as the sharing of ideas , which is crucial, of life and it's understanding......wow...I sure went off on a tangent just now . Thanks for reading this far ...my mind wanders a bit , and I get a bit deep in thought , after the last man ( person 😀) leaves. Now, if I only trained as much as I try to figure out the world , this guy would look closer to what I used to, in those pictures on the walls . LOL. !

...at just 21 years of age , Nick Walker just had a great photo shoot here at F.C. He's getting ready for the Nationals , down in Miami in less than 2 weeks. The weather sure cooperated...with sun and temps in the 70's on this November day ! How do you think he looks ??

...successful bodybuilding should not be judged on supreme conditioning alone, just as the acquisition of tremendous size should not be the sole goal of training. It takes a combination of the two ( or at least it should ). And...like it or not, shape is still a determining factor . To see all 3 is to see the eventual overall champion, and ( like it or not), a person's genetics have much to do with this "hat-trick". Just keep'n it real !!

...good friends, " Phil and Liz Bradshaw ( Corpus Christie, Texas) stopped in for a much overdue ( haven't seen Phil since we competed in '98 at the 50th " Mr. Universe" in Birmingham , England) visit. We trained , and caught up with life ...for the last 2 decades ! Liz is an IFBB Pro, "The Latin Bombshell" and is prepping for the "Tampa Pro" in 11 weeks !
