The Flying Biscuit Cafe is an eclectic neighborhood restaurant serving breakfast, brunch and lunch in a charming atmosphere. Well-known for serving up southern comfort food with a twist of fun, including menu classics such as the southern scramble, chorizo hash, and shrimp and grits. Our creamy dreamy white cheddar cheese grits, thick sliced French toast served with honey crème anglaise and raspberry sauce, and fluffy biscuits with signature apple butter are great complements to any meal.

This fan favorite is back just in time for Thanksgiving! Our famous turkey hash is “moon dusted” potatoes topped with slow roasted turkey pot roast, cheddar cheese and two over medium eggs. 🦃 😍 Available through November!

Our Story
We at the Pizza Peel & Tap Room opened our first location in Cotswold in the spring of 2008, our second location in Plaza Midwood in the winter of 2014 and our third location in Matthews in the winter of 2018 under the ownership of Will Bigham.
Our vision: To intentionally spread the love through everything we do!
From the beginning it has been our goal to create the best pizza crust in town; one that is chewy on the inside yet crunchy on the outside. Before we pile on our gourmet toppings we use a combination of extra virgin olive oil, fresh yeast, molasses and a touch of wheat flour to create our distinctive flavor sensation that will leave customers running to tell their friends. Not in the mood for pizza? Patrons can feast their taste buds on some of our other scrumptious menu items. We serve up some of the tastiest wings in town in a variety of flavors including Buffalo, Teriyaki, Inferno, Jerk Sauce, and Tong’s Sweet Chili Sauce. With our array of delectable choices in salads, pastas, soups, and sandwiches we have a filling dish for even the pickiest of palates.
The Vibe we have created through our love for people, family, live music, events & community has allowed us to open our multiple locations. We are proud to call Cotswold, Plaza Miwdood and now Matthews our home, and we strive to help make them the best neighborhoods in Charlotte! How? By following our mission.
