Ok, here it comes another Kid's race. Last Kid's race was awesome. Everyone loved it and wanted another one. So here it is: Feb 21st at 2:00 pm, $5.00 entry fee, we take care of cars and pizza. Everyone is welcome, just show up and have some fun. Next regular race is on Feb 28th at 2:00 pm.........Milt, Patrick, and Jim.B were very competitive in points chase ..GOOD JOB.....................WE BE RACIN'

Slotcar Mania 500 WHAT A BLAST. Racing was tight all afternoon. The winners are 1st: Milt 2nd: Rob and 3rd: Jim. Pictures seem to say it the best, so here are some pics. Great night of racing at the Mania. 3 way tie for first place and a 2 way tie for second place. .Racing is getting so close it just can't get much better than this, and yet, we are always trying to get all the cars equal. I proposed a rule change tonight to make the racing even closer. Wow what next a 5 way tie for first? Here are some pics from shop tonight.

WOW What an afternoon at the Mania!! Today was kids racing at the Mania and I think it went pretty darn good. Little Caesars' hooked us up with some pizza (hey be sure to thank them with a card or just say thanks on your next visit) Moms, Dads, Aunts, Uncles, who ever brought a kid to race we talked them into racing also. What a riot!! We had a girls race, a boys race and we put every one in together for the monster race and it was just a great time for everyone. The kids said they want to do it again. So I will post a date for that race later . Check out photos below.

Attention all new and old racers, age 7 and up. On Saturday, November 8th, 2014, there will be a Junior Race Day The fun will begin at 2:00P and continue until 4:00P. The cars will be provided and pizza will be provided by Little Caesar's and Randy's Slot Car Mania. All Junior racers must be accompanied by an adult. There will be a $5.00 entry fee. We are located at 1913 Prairie Av Mattoon, Illinois Come one, come all! Hope to see you there.

If anyone has an idea about any kind of race that they have raced in or heard about, let me know next race. It appears that some type of in house race may be more palatable to some of our long time racers . Something that where we have more control of the rules. We might think about something original also. Who knows what kind of warped race we can come up with!! My goal in saying anything, about a different kind of race is to stir things up and keep you all on your toes (And entertained) . Competition is the thing that drives you gear heads period. Just looking for something to take us to a new and challenging level in our racing. This is nothing new. We have had several events in the past that were fun and competitive . I'm just trying to get some kind of race lined up. No big deal just looking into it and trying to include everyone and their ideas. Thanks for your patience. And remember, WE BE RACIN'

(This is the note about Illini Endurance Championship)

Greetings Randy, this is Blake Sabo
from In the Groove Raceway down here in Nashville, IL. I
recently sold a 4 lane flat track to a guy (Milt???) in
Mattoon, just to give you a reference. And i raced with
Marty, and Heater alot years ago. Anyway, i am wondering if
you would be interested in providing a venue for my
endurance series? I am a huge fan of endurance racing, love
the format, love the cars, and love the idea of team racing.
I currently have a idea for a 3 race endurance race series,
called the Illini Endurnace Championship. I have attached a
logo too. It would be based on 2 or 3 man teams racing 1 car
for 4 to 12 hour races. The cars would be the NSR GT line of
cars, as they are great box stock, and need little work to
get racing great. I would be in charge of everything, all
you do is provide the raceway. All entry fees will be split
with me and you, as i would like to do a nice website as
well. I feel that slot car racing needs to be promoted

on a more professional level, than what has been done in
the past.

This is just a idea, i have a Word Doc with all the proposed
rules already done. Just needing the raceways to provide the
tracks.
