• Hand-delivered fresh-cut blooms to staff, volunteers, and community partners— 13abc joined us as our Venture group shared extra flowers with the giraffes!

Congratulations to Sunshine’s Chief Philanthropy Officer Shannon Bova for being named Association of Fundraising Professionals Northwest Ohio Chapter's 2024 Outstanding Fundraising Professional.

Shannon joined Sunshine in 2017 after serving in similar roles at other institutions. Her unwavering dedication to the developmental disability field has made a tangible difference in Sunshine’s community and the broader area. She has championed philanthropic initiatives, provided steady leadership during COVID, and made a significant investment in reaching new donors. Shannon is an expert in recurring donations from individuals, grant writing to private and corporate foundations, and asset gifts. Annual volunteers have grown steadily and now exceed 2,000 unique individuals with 20,000+ donated hours during her leadership.

Thanks to our partnership with Jacky's Depot, we’re celebrating and raising awareness for Sunshine Communities through our featured ice cream flavors.

Our activities bring people together, offering both shared fun and individual peace—plus a scoop of ice cream!

Sunshine Studios artists took a midday break, visited the Way Public Library (Perrysburg, Oh) checked out a movie, the winner: Mama Mia 2! 🎬

Sunshine has a hiring event on Wednesday, July 17th, from 10 am - 5 pm. Please use our main entrance at the front of our administration building. A member of Sunshine's Human Resource team will greet you.
