Knee pain while working out?
💥 Effective Knee Exercises to combat Knee Pain 💥
📍Knee pain can have causes that include heavy physical activity, lack of use, injuries such as sprains or strains, sitting in a constrained area or sitting on knees for a prolonged period.
📍Knee pain can develop gradually over time, might come on suddenly, or might repeatedly come and go.
📍After any knee problem, it’s important to get movement and strength back. This supports tissue healing and will help you get moving again.
🎯 Here are 4 essential exercises to improve your Knee Health and can be done safely by all whether your pain is secondary to injury, sprain, Arthritis, etc.
✅ Reverse walking - It helps to increase knee extension range of motion which is your knee’s ability to straighten.
✅Tibialis raises - Simple yet effective exercise with multiple benefits:
-Strengthening the front muscle of the shin, which can help to prevent knee injuries and
-Reducing pain in the shins, knees, and lower legs
✅Heel raises/ Calf raises/ Heel lifts - Very beneficial for both the knees and calves. Keep 2 things in mind while doing this - one is focus on FROM and secondly maintaining slow, controlled movement.
✅Knee bent calf raises - Bending your knees slightly when doing any kind of calf raises switches the workload from the gastrocnemius – the larger calf muscle – to the soleus.

Do you find yourself either:
1. Having to aggressively toe out to hit squat depth
2. Struggling to root your feet because of mobility restrictions?
2 common reasons this may be occurring include
💥 limited hip internal rotation range of motion
💥 poor ankle (dorsiflexion) mobility
If this sounds like you, try warming up for squats with these front foot elevated split squats focusing on these 2 cues:
☝️ rotate pelvis towards front leg at the bottom - this biases into relative hip internal rotation
✌️ drive knees over toes while keeping heel down - this mobilizes into ankle dorsiflexion
