Our 3rd annual STAAR Awards will be taking place on Wednesday, September 11th from 5:30-7 PM in the GYM. This ceremony will be celebrating the effort and accomplishments of our IDEA McAllen Tigers in 6th-11th grade who STAAR tested in the 2023-2024 school year. If you plan to attend the ceremony, please complete the form below by Friday, September 6th to ensure that your child's awards package is prepared.

A habit of good attendance is a school readiness skill. Along with social-emotional and readiness skills, consistent on-time attendance is a habit that lasts a lifetime. Let’s hear it for our Teacher of the Month, Ms. Garza! Ms. Garza has hit the ground running by ensuring her physical environment is set up for student success. Her intentional anchor charts are already helping students by making the learning stick. Additionally, she holds her students to high expectations in a variety of areas including student uniform, culture, and systems and procedures. She has a powerful but warm presence that is already making an impact on her 5th grade scholars! Thank you for continuously being a model for high expectations, and a role model for your peers! The new school year is underway for our current Tiger students but the celebrations continue for our alumni 💙 💛 During these past few weeks the members of our Class of 2024 have been stepping onto college campuses, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter. This achievement is a beautiful culmination of years of love, care, and unwavering support from our entire Tiger Team & Family. Each step taken is a testament to their hard work and the collective dedication that has guided them to this point. We are immensely proud of their journey and can't wait to see the incredible futures they will build. We wrapped up the third week of school with our Kinder-2nd grade student assembly and some teacher celebrations! We had lots to celebrate 🎉 this week and are so proud of all our student’s growth each day! Congratulations to 2nd grade for winning this month’s spirit stick!
