Moose (July 17): The fire is located approximately five (5) miles southwest of the North Fork in the vicinity of Moose Creek and Deadwater on the North Fork Ranger District. The fire is estimated at 300 acres burning in grass, brush, and timber. Fire is burning on both sides of the Salmon River and the Salmon River Road ( #030). Due to current activity, the Salmon River Road is closed from North Fork to Indianola. Please avoid the area and give responders room to work. Three (3) crews, four (4) helicopters are on scene with additional resources on order. Cause is undetermined. The Forest will share more information on the Moose Fire as it becomes available.

Beginning today, July 11, Granite Excavation, LLC, will stage equipment on the old parallel taxiway, barricades will be placed, and construction of Taxiway D (East-West Taxiway) will commence. This project should be substantially complete by Aug. 15, 2022.
Runway 16-34 is being resealed and repainted. This will result in a FULL RUNWAY CLOSURE from 0600 LOCAL July 11 until 1400 LOCAL July 15. A NOTAM has been issued.
Regular flight operations will resume immediately upon completion of the runway closure, and traffic will route in its regular pattern for fuel and parking and avoid the Taxiway D construction.

Dear Friends of McCall Municipal Airport,

As many of you are likely aware, we are doing some significant maintenance and construction projects at MYL this summer.

On July 11, 2022, Granite Excavation, LLC, will stage equipment on the old parallel taxiway, barricades will be placed, and construction of Taxiway D (East-West Taxiway) will commence. This project should be substantially complete by Aug. 15, 2022.

Runway 16-34 is being resealed and repainted. This will result in a FULL RUNWAY CLOSURE from 0600 LOCAL July 11 until 1400 LOCAL July 15. A revised NOTAM has been issued.
