Great night at our annual Christmas Party. We had a good year and hoping to have a better year this next year. Tonight we recognized a few of our members. Firefighter of the year went to Scotty Poole. Most training hours for the year went to Scotty Poole. Rookie of the Year went to Bobby Keith. Certification award went to Ally Sauer. James Wicker was promoted to Captain. We had a years of service award for James Smith for his many years as a member and board member. Thanks to all members and our community for everything you do.

After much discussion with the Police and Fire Chiefs, the Christmas Parade IS STILL ON.

If we need to cancel because of severe weather, it will be at the last possible minute, but I would just plan on getting out your rain gear.

We understand that we cannot make everyone happy with this decision, but to be honest we get complaints either way.

For those of you planning to participating in the parade, I hope you are still going to be in it.

For those of you wanting to watch it, I hope you come out and have a great time with us!

See you Saturday RAIN OR SHINE!

For those of you who knows Police Chief Laslie, knows that he is one of the good ones in Breckinridge county. Chief Laslie is a past Firefighter and past Fire Chief under McDaniels Fire and Rescue. His daughter and son in-law now are also now active volunteer firefighters. Ashley Hayes has an event scheduled to help raise money for Chief Laslie as he undergoes treatment for his cancer. As a small community, let’s help raise money and help the Laslie family as he has helped his community over the past several years. Thank you!
