Our Story
Capturing Memories & Creating Treasures
2010-2011 were years of both gain and loss. My father and my daughter gained their wings; I lost a mentor and a best friend. While I could celebrate their homecoming with Jesus, I needed something in the middle of that loss. I needed to hold onto something tangible in my grief. Their deaths were the birthplace of Crystal Reminders. It has grown to a way to celebrate hope.
My work space is in my daughter’s room which makes it very therapeutic for me. I miss being able to talk to her to hold her and to laugh and cry with her. I understand loss. My Remembrance collection includes pillows, blankets and pillow pets made from your loved ones’ clothes as well as ornaments that can be displayed throughout the year.
Crystal Reminders has grown to commemorate our lives, we all have important memories. I enjoy creating t-shirt blankets for graduations, sports collections, rock n roll concert collections, just to name a few and I especially love creating Firefighter T-shirt blankets. Just the thought of them finding peace when they rest at the station brings a smile to my heart. My tag line for the t-shirt blankets is “Every Blanket tells a story” I feel like I know each person that I have created a blanket for just from the collection they send me.
