The time for the Scholarship For Young Women is HERE! Sponsored by the Henry County Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation and managed by the influential Women’s Leadership Council, the Scholarship For Young Women application period is officially open. We're offering not just ONE but TWO $500 scholarships for female juniors and seniors who are right here in Henry County. The 2024 application period is NOW OPEN and closes on January 17, 2024, at midnight.

is launching the inaugural Small Business Cohort Program next month. This program is open to a maximum of 20 small business owners and managers. The program will assist small business owners and startups looking to expand or needing assistance to stabilize and grow their business. Cohort participants will be presented with tools to help grow their business, learn more about areas that may be holding them back, participate in peer discussion, receive guidance from business coaches on specific problem areas, and build confidence to help them get to the next level of success.

The program -- through the generous support of Kaiser Permanente -- is offered at $200 for Chamber members. Thank you to My Local Henry's Lincoln Parks for helping develop this program which includes:

Meeting 1: Orientation and Business Ideation
Meeting 2: Market Research and Validation
Meeting 3: Business Model Development
Meeting 4: Branding and Marketing Strategies
Meeting 5: Financial Planning and Funding
Meeting 6: Operations and Scaling
Meeting 7: Pitch Day and Graduation

Southern Crescent Veteran Services is hosting its 5th annual Toy Drive to give 300+ youths an excellent holiday season with the help of the community and generous donations, both in kind & monetary. Electronic devices, 100 bicycles, and 100($25) gift cards for pre-teens and teens ages 13 and up are needed. Six thousand unwrapped toys for all kids 1 to 12 years old are also needed.
