2nd place in last weekend’s tourney!🥈

Lots of highlights could be listed as the boys were locked in all weekend.
▪️Elijah hit a 3 run bomb over center in the semis
▪️Maddox hit the high fence in the air with a bomb in the quarterfinals.
▪️Daniel was a scoop machine at 1B.
▪️Tyler ran wild on the bases.
▪️Isaac had clutch hits and was a defensive stronghold in the OF
▪️Jeremiah had a deep bomb in the gap in the semis
▪️Cason was a no fly zone in the outfield
▪️King played all over the field and was a thief on the base paths
▪️Jax caught every inning on Sunday and hit well all weekend
▪️Georgie’s back! He’s been a great teammate and leader in the dugout throughout his injury and recovery
▪️Brooks did damage at every plate appearance
▪️Palmer pitched in the semis allowing only 2 hits and 1 ER.

Jacob pitched a complete game shutout in game 1, throwing 72% strikes 🔥

The Braves lost a heartbreaker in the quarterfinals on Sunday. Every game of the weekend was competitive and close!

Maddox pitched 3 innings and battled a very tight strike zone, but competed through it all and had a bulldog, no quit attitude all day! He allowed only 2 hits and 0 earned runs. He was a positive leader in both games.

Brooksie’s bat was lethal as he batted 1.000 on the day and hit THREE doubles in game 1. He also had a great catch in the outfield on the fence and excellent baserunning detail ex*****on.

Elijah pitched 4 innings of game 1, allowing only 2 hits and 2 ER. He also made great defensive plays at SS!

Cason hit a 3-run fence rattler in game 2 to clear the bases 💣 He drove in 4 runs in that game 💪

The Braves are back! 👊
1:1 on Saturday with a tough loss in pool, but they arrived at the field on Sunday at 7am and left at 9pm as runner ups 🥈

Positions and playing were limited due to arm issues which made things a bit tricky, but the boys showed grit out there and battled all the way to the ‘ship, looking much more like the Braves we’re used to seeing.

Elijah went 2:2 at the plate with a base clearing triple that would’ve sailed over the 300ft fence if not for the high walls ☄️

Jax had 2 clutch hits to drive in runs in both games💥

Sunday:
Elijah pitched 3 innings of game 1, throwing 54% strikes, allowing only 1 hit, 0 earned runs and 6k’s!
He also had 2 doubles on the day 💥💥

Jeremiah pitched 4.1 innings in game 3, throwing 54% strikes, striking out 4 batters and allowing only 2 runs 🔥

Cason’s barrel was busy all weekend! On Sunday he had 2 doubles and a triple 💣💣💣

Isaac closed out FOUR of the 6 games for a total of 4.1 innings, allowing just 1 hit, 0 earned runs, 7 k’s and a whopping 75% strikes! 🌟

Honorable mention:
Brax played catcher in all 4 of the bracket games as defensive positions had to be adjusted due to arm issues and he did a great job! 🧱

Opening weekend of the Fall season! ⚾️

Started strong going 2-0 in pool, but fell early in bracket. It was good to shake the rust off, though, and start getting used to a new field size.

Isaac was unstoppable on the mound, throwing 2 innings in game 1, recording 5 strikeouts 🔥
He was also 2-2 at the plate and drew a clutch walk in the bottom of the last inning of game 2 to start what would ultimately be a walk off win! 🎉

Elijah hit a gap shot double in game 2 and came in to close it out. He allowed only 1 hit over 1.1 innings and struck out 3 batters ❌

Cason smashed 2 doubles in game 2 and showed out on the mound for two innings, allowing only 1 hit and striking out 2 batters 🙅‍♂️🙅‍♂️

An early exit from bracket is never fun. Wheels were a bit wobbly today and unfortunately the end result showed it. Not our best day by far but there’s always something to take away and learn from.

2023 12U Majors Texas Invitational Super Regional NIT Silver Bracket champs! 🥇

Lots of highlights to be posted soon, but these boys had some of the most amazing moments this weekend. They played one of the most intense, energetic, gritty, competitive games I’ve ever witnessed and it will forever be one of my favorite memories.

After a rough start in pool, they regrouped, locked in and found their groove, taking down one team at a time through bracket. In the end they came home as co-champions 🏆

Winning aside, I’m so incredibly proud of the fight these boys showed.

4-1 on the weekend, lost a close one in the semifinals to another very tough majors team 😤

Elijah continued to wreak havoc at the plate, going 5-7 through 3 games with three doubles AND a 3-run homer in the semifinals!! 💣💥💣💥💣💥

Brooks socked a 3-run homer in the quarterfinals! ☄️

Daniel had a couple of fantastic plays at 3rd and played great defense in several positions 💪
He also went 2-4 at the plate with a single, double and a sac fly in the semifinals.

Jeremiah pitched 3 innings in game one, only having to throw 29 pitches, allowing zero hits or runs.

The Braves battled all day today to take home the ‘ship and end their Fall season on a high note 🙌

Very proud of each and every one of them for the hard work they put in, growing as baseball players and competitors.

He also closed out the championship game, getting 2 outs in 8 pitches ⚾️

The Braves wrapped up league play today, finishing 11-2. The BEST part, though, is how much fun these boys have and more importantly, how well they represent UBC.
They don’t get caught up in the antics of other teams, but rather choose to cheer on their teammates and focus on each other.
Couldn’t be prouder of them and the sportsmanship they exhibit even when it’s not reciprocated by opponents.
