Today's maintenance tip from Signature Custom Home Painting and remodeling, this is something I try to do at least once a year.

Do you notice your exhaust fan for your bathrooms or laundry room getting Louder ? It's probably because it's collected a lot of dust over the last year or so,  The first picture is what it looks like from the outside before I remove The cover, it's Nice and clean right ? The second and third pictures are once I remove the cover, Doesn't look so clean now, to remove the cover simply pull it down towards you as far as it will go, once you can get your hand in behind it squeeze the two metal pieces together on each side and pull downward, it should slide right out of the slots holding it in place, wash the cover and vacuum the motor compartment, repeat the process in reverse to reinstall, You will immediately notice the difference in the sound.  This will also prolong your exhaust fan, mine are 16 years old and still going.
