Last week the Academy of Classical Karate and WIKF Texas made history by qualifying FOUR athletes to the 2023 Pan Amercian Games in Santiago, Chile on Team USA! This is a huge accomplishment. Our students are 4 of the 11 athletes who will represent the USA in the sport of Karate!

The Pan American Games is the second largest multi-sport event, next to the Olympics and is held only every 4 years. It is a prestigious event to attend and is truly a special feeling to part of the larger Team USA.

Tom Scott has competed in three previous Pan Am Games. Winning a sliver in 2011, Gold in 2015, and Gold in 2019. We are excited to see what he does in this one!

Brian Irr has competed in 2 previous Pan Am Games, taking the Bronze in 2015 in Canada and the Gold in Peru in 2019!

This will be Alexandra Wainwright's first Pan Am Games! We are so excited for her!

This will also be Safin Kasturi's first Senior Pan American Games. Safin competed in the inaugural Junior Pan American Games in 2021 winning the Gold and earning him an exceptional spot at the 2023 Sr. Pan Am Games!

In the coming months leading into the Pan Amercian Games we will be sharing more information including how to watch and support our athletes on TEAM USA! The PAG are scheduled for October 30-November 5, 2023!
